“Keep
your friends close but keep your enemies closer.”
That
statement has rung true throughout the history of humankind. The Jews hated the Romans and yet the
conspired with them to eliminated Jesus Christ.
The Soviet Union was communist, completely contrary to the values of
freedom and liberty that the United States of America and Great Britain strive
to uphold, and yet they all worked together to eliminate the mutual threat
known as Nazi Germany led by fanatical dictator Adolf Hitler.
In
professional wrestling, strange bedfellow matches are not all that
uncommon. Wrestling bookers love to see
enemies forced to work together in tag team competition. Will they implode and fight each other? Will chaos ensue? Quite frankly, it's good for ratings. It draws the attention of the fans. The wrestlers themselves, those being forced
to work together, hate the forced partnerships.
But they work together anyway because of the incentive of winning. This sport, after all, is all about
winning. You do what you have to do to
win even if it means swallowing your pride and helping out an arch rival.
Marie
Annabelle Jones and Sophie James are the UWA World Tag Team Champions. They are the best of friends. Sophie was there to give Marie another chance
when everyone else was willing to abandon her.
Sophie was there to provide back-up when Marie needed a tag team partner. Together they would be IWC Uprising Brand Tag
Team Champions and later the UWA World Tag Team Champions and, thus far, they
have proven to be quite a dominating pair.
Another
pair in the UWA is Willow Wilkes and Serenity.
This unique relationship goes beyond the simple friendship shared by
Marie and Sophie. Theirs is a unique
love that, perhaps only those two can understand.
Unfortunately
for them, these relationships are about to be tested in a big way. The Uprising Wrestling Alliance, specifically
David Helms, set up a unique tag team tournament; a strange bedfellows tag tournament
where the teams would be randomly paired together and the winning team would go
on to compete against one another and the UWA World Champion Vanilla Skyy for
the title. As if winning were not enough
of an incentive for these randomly paired teams to work together, then the
prospect of getting a world title shot should do the trick. Being world
champion, after all, is the dream of every professional wrestler. That desire is enough to make any wrestler do
anything, even work with their worst enemy.
Marie
Annabelle Jones was so close on so many occasions to winning the IWC World
Championship but each and every time she came up short. Now she has another opportunity, this time in
UWA, to earn her title shot. All she has
to do is work with Willow Wilkes, win this tournament, and together the two of
them will get a world title opportunity in a triple threat against Vanilla
Skyy.
Here's
where things get dicey for Marie and Willow.
They are now in the semi-finals and they have to compete against the team
of fellow semi-finalists Serenity and Sophie James.
The
irony of it all is overwhelming. Marie
and Sophie are best friends and the UWA World Tag Team Champions. Serenity loves Willow. Marie does not want to fight Sophie. Serenity does not want to fight Willow. But will the incentive of being UWA World
Champion prove to be too much to bear?
Marie
and Sophie are friends. A friendly
competition never hurt anyone and she can compete against her if she has to,
but she can only imagine what Serenity must be going through having to compete
against someone she loves. Marie cannot
imagine having to fight her lover, her future husband Arthur Pond.
Arthur
Pond is a godsend for Marie. He is the
miracle that she thought did not exist.
All of Marie's life she wanted to find the perfect guy, her Mr. Right,
her prince charming who would love her and who she could spend the rest of her
life with. That desire grew even
stronger after she was raped and gave birth to Sean Connor Jones. Marie wanted to give Sean a good father
figure, a good male role model to look up to.
Unfortunately, every single guy she dated turned out to be an asshole or
just walked away from the two of them altogether. It seemed as if Prince Charming would never
come along.
Insert
Arthur Pond into the equation. Arthur
not only loved Marie but he loved her for who she was. He didn't care about her past. He loved her and wanted to care for her. And now it seems as if Marie, after finding
her Mr. Right, was about to marry him.
It
truly is an exciting time, not just for Marie but for the entire Jones
Family. Marie isn't the only one with a
wedding on the horizon. Marie's sister,
Corey Jones, is about to get married as well, to her longtime boyfriend and
fellow pro-wrestler Kyle Butler. In
fact, when Marie learned that her sister had been proposed to as well and that
yet another Jones Wedding was in the works, she had decided to issue a proposal
of her own to Corey...
...dual
weddings, held on the same day in the same church conducted by the same
priest. One great big joint wedding was
in the planning stages for the Jones Family.
It would be, perhaps, their shining moment.
And
so that brings us to the present, where we find Marie Annabelle Jones and her
sister Corey Jones dress shopping in one of the nicest, fanciest stores in
Boston. Now don't misread this. Marie and Corey are humble and do not have to
have the best of everything. But what
brings them to this particular dress shop is the fact that the mother of the
brides, Angelica Jones, is with them and she wants nothing but the absolute
best for her daughters.
The
will of Angelica Jones be done...
“What
is taking your sister so long?”
That's
the impatient sound of the Jones Family matriarch, Angelica Jones, as she taps
her foot and checks her watch. Angelica
is wearing denim jeans, flip flops, and a black “SCW” t-shirt. To Angelica's left is a dress, still on its
hanger, no doubt the dress she will be trying on momentarily. Her oldest daughter, Marie Annabelle Jones,
is sitting to her right wearing black denim jeans, black boots, and a “UWA”
t-shirt. To Marie's right is a white
wedding dress on its hanger; this one is no doubt Marie's wedding dress. Several feet in front of them is a curtain
that leads to a room, no doubt this is the changing room. Marie has already tried on her dress. Now Corey is trying on hers. Angelica will be the next to enter this changing
room as soon as Corey is done.
“You
know my sister. She is a true girly-girl
when it comes to getting dressed. It
takes her forever because everything must be perfect.”
Angelica
rolls her eyes.
“It
shouldn't take this long.”
“Don't
be so impatient, mom. This is once in a
lifetime...”
Angelica
scoffs.
“Once
in a lifetime? Marie, I'm on my fourth
marriage.”
Marie
sighs.
“Ok,
fine, so maybe I should say that this doesn't happen very often. Point is that you should try to enjoy
this. How often will your daughters get
married?”
Marie
winks at her mother. Angelica, though,
doesn't seem to share her happiness.
It's almost as if Angelica has a bit of trepidation about all of
this. Marie notices this and cocks her
to one side, studying her mother.
“What's
wrong, mom?”
“I
guess...”
Angelica
sighs.
“...I
guess I'm just worried about you and your sister. You know?
I have been married four times now, Marie.”
Angelica
embraces her daughter in a tight hug.
“I
don't want you to make the same mistakes I made. I want better for you.”
Marie
and Angelica break the embrace. Marie
takes her mother's hands and squeezes them tightly.
“Don't
worry about me, mom. I will be just
fine.”
“So
are you two done yapping so I can come out?”
Angelica
and Marie smirk as they turn towards the sound of Corey's voice, which is
coming from behind the red curtain.
“Come
on out, sis!”
Corey
Jones emerges from behind the curtain and she looks absolutely stunningly
gorgeous in her elegant white dress that extends to floor length. The skirt of the white dress is hiding her
white high heeled sandals. Her long red
hair hangs down to shoulder length.
“Wow...looking
good, sis...”
Angelica
gets up and approaches her middle child.
She looks her up and looks her down, taking appraisal. A grin forms upon her face as she nods her
head.
“You
look beautiful, Jessica-Corey.”
“Please,
mom. Call me Corey.”
“I
named you Jessica-Corey. That's your
name.”
Corey
laughs lightly.
“Whatever,
mom.”
Angelica
embraces Corey in a tight hug. After
breaking the embrace Angelica makes a spinning motion with her right hand.
“Give
us a twirl.”
Corey
twirls around a full three-hundred sixty degrees so that her mother and sister
can see everything about the dress. Both
Marie and Angelica nod their approval.
“You
do look amazing, sis.”
“I
don't look as good as you did, Marie.”
Marie
shakes her head.
“Don't
say that. You are gorgeous.”
“Yeah,
but I'm not as gorgeous as you were. You
always were better looking than me, I think.”
“You're
wrong, Corey.”
Angelica
places her right hand on Marie's shoulder and her left hand on Corey's
shoulder.
“You
both are gorgeous. And you will make
beautiful brides.”
Marie
and Corey smile.
“Thanks,
mom.”
“Yeah,
thanks.”
Corey
lets out a sigh.
“I
guess I need to get out of this thing so that mom can try hers on.”
“Yeah,
we want to make sure the mother of the brides looks beautiful.”
Corey
nods her head in agreement with her sister.
Corey then turns and heads back through the curtain and into the
changing room. As soon as she disappears
inside, Marie and Angelica sit back down and wait.
“Things
are getting interesting for you in UWA, I take it.”
Marie
frowns.
“How
would you know? You don't keep up with
UWA.”
Angelica
smiles warmly.
“Marie,
you are my daughter. Of course I will
keep up with anything you're involved with.”
Marie
laughs lightly.
“Thanks,
mom.”
“So,
tell me, what's it like teaming with Willow Wilkes?”
“It's
been good. And she is very good. I can see why she is a former ULW World
Champion. I think together we can win
this tournament, I truly do believe it.
But...”
Marie
sighs.
“...but
we now have to face our friends.”
“Serenity
and Sophie?”
Marie
nods her head.
“Bingo. I don't want to have to fight Sophie if I can
avoid it, we are friends and the tag champs.
But I will fight if I have to.
I'm not sure I can say the same for Willow and Serenity. Serenity has openly said she loves Willow.”
Angelica
sighs.
“I
know, it can be tough. I've been in
situations like that before. But you'll
do fine, and I'm sure you and Willow will find a way to prevail.”
“Thanks,
but mom, I just realized something...about the wedding that is, not about
wrestling.”
“What's
that?”
Marie
sighs.
“In
the absence of your father, your closest male relative is supposed to give the
bride away at the wedding. Right?”
Angelica
nods her head.
“Yes,
that's the tradition.”
“Corey
has her father, Andreas Lasiewicz, to give her away...”
“If
she even wants him to. Your sister has
had personal qualms about him lately. I
have no idea what that stems from.”
Marie
sighs.
“...right,
well, regardless, she has him if she wants him.
But me...”
Marie
frowns and shakes her head.
“I
have no one. My father is dead, you have
no brothers, I have a paternal uncle but he's a pedophile locked away in
prison.”
“You
have Monroe.”
“Monroe
is your first cousin, mom. That makes
him my second cousin, right? It won't be
the same. It just won't be the same.”
Angelica
places a hand on her daughter's knee.
“I...I'm
sorry...”
Angelica
shakes her head.
“It's
my fault.”
“No,
it's not your fault. You did what you had
to do.”
“Did
I really have to kill him, though?”
Angelica
buries her face in her hands as she tries to regain her composure. Marie pats her mother on the back as she
tries to comfort her.
“Mom,
it's...”
Marie's
voice fades as something off in the distance catches her eye. To be more specific, it's someone who catches
her eye. Standing a long way away in the
shop, behind a rack of dresses, is a very familiar face.
“...daddy?”
No,
Marie did not get the chance to know her father all that well, but she has seen
plenty of his pictures and she knows what he looked like. She would know her father anywhere. And for Marie this is like looking at death
itself, for that man looks identical to her father. So much so that she believes it to be her
father, despite what her logical mind tells her.
“Marie...”
She
ignores her mother's voice, for it comes out too late. Marie has already jumped up and is walking
towards that rack of clothes where the man is standing. But as she starts to get closer the man turns
and moves away. Marie growls angrily.
“No
you don't!”
Marie
starts to run but the man ducks into an aisle of clothing, disappearing out of
sight. Marie enters the aisle, expecting
to find him there waiting but she finds no one.
“Where
is he?!”
Marie's
voice is loud and echoes out throughout the shop.
“Where
is my father?!”
“Marie,
your father is dead.”
Angelica,
joined by Corey, have now arrived.
Angelica is trying to calm her daughter down.
“Remember,
we were just talking about him. He's dead.”
“No! He was just here! I know it!
I saw...”
Marie
happens to see out of the corner of her eye the man, standing at the exit
doors.
“There
he is!”
Marie
bolts towards the doors. Angelica and
Corey sigh as they attempt to give chase.
Marie is already there but the man has once again disappeared. Marie assumes he exited the shop so she exits
as well. She turns to the left and sees
no one. She turns to the right and spots
a man...perhaps the one she was looking for...
“I
have you now!”
Marie
approaches him, grabs him by his shoulder and turns him around...
“What
the hell are you...”
Marie
stops as she stares into the eyes of a total stranger. This man does not even look remotely like her
father. Is this really the man she was
tracking down? Or is this someone
different?
“I...I'm
sorry...I thought you were someone else.”
“Crazy
bitch...”
The
man mutters this angrily as he turns and walks off. Angelica and Corey then emerge from the
store. Corey embraces Marie in a tight
hug.
“It's
ok, sis. It's ok.”
“What
did you see, Marie?”
Angelica
asks questioningly. Marie turns to her
mother with a pale look on her face.
“I
saw....my father...”
Angelica
shakes her head.
“That's
impossible, Marie. Your father is dead.”
“I
know what I saw, mom. I saw my father.”

Sins
of the Father
Act
1 ; Scene 2

==========
It
has been nearly five hours since Marie Annabelle Jones had her episode in the
dress shop and she is still quite shaken up.
Marie, for all intents and purposes, saw a ghost. Her father, Sean Williams, was supposed to be
dead. Dead at the hands of her own
mother, Angelica Jones.
Angelica
Jones and Sean Williams met when Angelica was in the convent. She thought he was handsome and dashing back
then. His charming personality was one
of many factors that led to her leaving the convent and becoming a
pro-wrestler. Angelica even bore him a
daughter; Marie. But shortly after her
birth something went wrong. The two
began to have difficulties and they split up.
After the break up Sean threatened to take Marie from her. That threat was enough to send Angelica over
the edge and she murdered Sean in order to make sure she kept Marie all to
herself.
Needless
to say, Marie has little to no memory of her father. The only memories she has are from pictures
provided to her by her mother, Angelica.
She has stories told to her by the few remaining members of Sean's
family, including Sean's other daughter from a previous relationship, Marie's
half- sister Kimberly Williams.
Perhaps
this all came from Marie's mind? She has
a wedding coming up, which no doubt brings up strong feelings about her father
and his absence in her life, so maybe, just maybe, those feelings were what
triggered this episode? One can only
hope. Marie has heard nothing but bad
things about her father and she definitely does not want this to be true. She is hoping and praying that she was,
indeed, just seeing things.
The
last thing Marie needs on her mind right now is her dead father coming back to
haunt her. She is about to get married
and that already is weighing enough on her mind, not to mention the tag
tournament currently going on in the UWA.
Being
world champion is Marie's dream. She
wants to accomplish that goal more than anything else. And more than anything else she wants a true
one on one rematch against Vanilla Skyy, the current UWA World Champion. She knows that becoming co-number one
contenders with Willow Wilkes, and going on to become UWA World Champion at
Olympus, that would secure her the opportunity to get another one on one match
with Vanilla.
The
competition in the tournament is stiff, especially now that Marie has to face
her friend, Sophie James, in the next round.
Marie realizes that this will be incredibly difficult for her and she
will have to be in top condition in order to win and advance. She cannot afford any further distractions.
This
is why she chose not to tell her fiancée Arthur Pond about the incident in the
dress shop. The last thing he needs
right now is to be told about this craziness.
And the last thing SHE needs is for him to be worrying. Marie wants to just forget about it, because
hopefully this was just a case of her seeing things.
Nothing
more.
“Yeah,
we had a good time.”
Marie
Jones currently has her iPhone, in its purple Otterbox case, pressed up to her
ear. She is speaking to her lover and
future husband Arthur Pond.
“My
sister's dress looks great and so does my mom's.”
Jones
moves towards a full length mirror to take appraisal of herself. She's wearing a black lacy bra and panty
number with black sheer nylon over her legs.
Her long red hair hangs down to shoulder length. It's nighttime, time for bed, why is she
bothering to make sure she looks good?
“Yeah,
I can't wait to see you, babe.”
She
is expecting her boy toy to arrive any moment and she wants to make sure she
looks good for him.
“Trust
me, you're going to love it...”
She
giggles uncontrollably.
“No
I'm not going to send you a picture now!
That would ruin the surprise!”
She
sighs and smiles warmly.
“Believe
me, it will be worth the wait.”
The
surprise, if you haven't figured it out, is herself, dressed ever-so-sexily in
this black lace number. Arthur realizes
this and wants a sneak peak but Marie is having none of it.
“I'm
sorry, babe, but you're just going to have to wait.”
As
soon as she gets those last few words out of her mouth the lights in the entire
house go out. Marie shakes her head with
disappoint and sighs.
“Oh
damn, the lights went out.”
The
beautiful red head frowns.
“No,
I'm fine. It's just that it's damn near
pitch black. I can hardly see a thing.”
A
faint noise, the sound of footsteps maybe, begins. It's very quiet but Marie can indeed make it
out. And it definitely bothers her, as
is illustrated by the look of concern on her face.
“Uh,
I gotta go.”
Marie
shakes her head.
“No,
no, don't worry, I'm fine. Just come on
home. Love you, bye.”
She
hangs up her iPhone and tosses it onto the bed.
Marie makes her way over to her dresser and opens the top drawer. She reaches inside and produces two
things. In her left hand is a
flashlight, which she turns on. In the
right hand is a small pistol.
Marie
is not as violent as her mother but she is also not stupid. She recalls how she and Arthur were jumped
not too long ago by those gangsters.
Ever since then she made it a point to carry some form of
protection. Now she can't carry a gun
everywhere with her, so she has pepper spray most times, but here at her house
she has a gun to protect herself. She
and Arthur will not be harmed again.
This
is one of those occasions where she feels a gun could be necessary. She was not expecting her mother or her
sister to stop by the house, and yet these footsteps, which started out quiet
but are now growing louder, indicate that someone is inside this house.
Someone
uninvited.
Marie
approaches the door that leads to the hallway and gently pushes it open. Lucky for her it wasn't closed all the way,
for she still has her hands full with the flashlight in one and the gun in the
other. She steps outside into the
hallway and looks from side to side, trying to find the source of the
footsteps.
“Mom! Aunt Kayla!
Corey! If it's you, you need to
let me know right now!”
Marie
told her family that she was getting a gun, so they know that she has one and
is not afraid to use it. Thus the
warning for them, so that she won't shoot them by mistake. But on her first attempt, she gets no reply.
“Guys? Is that you?!
I have a gun!”
There's
still no response to Marie's warning.
The footsteps continue to grow louder and more defined. Marie is growing more frightened as she
realizes now that the footsteps are coming up the steps, closer to her positon.
“Who
is that?!”
Marie
turns in the directions of the stairs.
She faces down the noise of the footsteps as they come up, ready to face
the individual who is causing these footsteps.
“I'm
warning you! I have a gun!”
The
footsteps grow louder and louder...Marie readies her gun as she sees the top of
someone's head...she aims...
“Last
warning, asshole!”
...the
figure's face comes into view. It's just
a silhouette. She cannot make out who it
is. It is masculine, that much she can
tell. But it very well could be Arthur
Pond. Just in case, she aims her
flashlight to see who it is she is about to shoot...
“Who
are...”
...and
there, continuing up the steps, is the man she saw earlier in the day, the man
she thought was dead...
“...daddy?”
A
part of her mind tells her that this is her father. But the rational part of her mind tells her
that her father is long dead and that this is an intruder. The rational part wins out and she fires two
shots in the direction of this man. But
the blow back of the pistol, combined with Marie's shock and nerves, causes her
to fall backward onto the floor. At this
point she can only pray that her shots hit the target because she knows that
she would not have enough time to get back up and fire off any more shots
otherwise.
It
takes a moment for Marie to get back to her feet. Just as she gets to her feet the lights in
the house come back on. She realizes
that she must have hit the intruder. Her
shots were on the mark. Otherwise he
would have got her.
But
now Marie has to know, who was this guy?
She
rushes to the railing at the stairs and looks over. No one.
She looks at the stairs themselves.
No one.
Marie
scans the entire area for where this person may have landed if the gun shots
hit the mark but he is nowhere to be found.
He
is missing...again...
“Impossible...”
Just
as she gets that word out of her mouth there is a loud banging at the front
door. Marie hesitates. That could be the intruder. But then, as the banging continues, a voice
sounds off from behind that door...
“Marie!”
It's
the nervous and worried voice of her future husband Arthur Pond. Marie quickly bolts down the stairs, not even
bothering to consider the possibility of an intruder. She just heads straight for the door and opens
it up, allowing Arthur to step inside.
Arthur steps inside and Marie immediately embraces him in a tight.
“Oh
my God, Arthur! Thank God you are here!”
“What's
wrong? I just drove up and I heard
gunshots.”
Marie
is bawling madly by now.
“I
saw him...”
“You
saw who?”
Marie
looks up at Arthur with tear filled eyes.
“I
saw my father. He was here.”
“But
Marie...your father is dead.”
==========
On Camera
==========
We
open in front of the black and blue UWA logo backdrop. Marie Annabelle Jones steps into the scene
from stage right. The beautiful red head
is wearing a black knee length leather skirt, black high heeled pumps, and a
crimson red sweater. Her long gorgeous
ginger hair hangs down to below her shoulders.
A confident gaze is etched across her lovely features as she turns to
face the camera.
“To
be the best in any sport, whether its the NBA Champion, the Super Bowl
Champion, or NHL Stanly Cup Champion, no matter the sport, to be the champion,
you have to be the best. And it's
arguable that the same can be said for our sport. Vanilla Skyy is currently the best wrestler
in the world and in order to defeat her and become the best wrestler in the
world you will have to be better.”
Jones
shakes her head.
“I
disagree. Being talented, being a great
wrestler, being the best, does play a big role.
In fact, I would say as much as 90% of it hinges on ability and what you
can do inside the squared circle.”
She
smirks.
“But
there is a small, ten percent that has nothing to do with greatness inside the
ring and, instead, has everything to do with luck. Take the UWA World Championship for
example. A tournament was organized, a
tag team tournament, in which the winning team would go on to compete against
the world champion in a triple threat match at Olympus. And therein lies one aspect of luck. Ask any champion who has lost their title
without being pinned or made to submit in multi-person matches, and they will
tell you all about the bad luck they had.
Could that happen to our UWA World Champion at Olympus? Possibly.
But we're getting ahead of ourselves, aren't we? Because first and foremost we have to find
out which two individuals will get the title shot and the tournament will
answer that question.”
Marie
nods her head.
“Yes,
the tournament, a unique tag team tournament in which partners were randomly
selected. Some were unlucky and got bad
partners. Some got lucky and got great
partners. It's all the luck of the draw,
ladies and gentlemen. If you got saddled
with a bad partner, you couldn't make it out of the blocks, but if you got a
great partner, then you just might go far.”
Marie
pats herself on the chest.
“I
think Willow Wilkes and I were lucky to get each other as partners. She is a former ULW World Champion and I am a
former GCW World Champion. In ULW she
was a tag team champion with someone she didn't get along with, while I am one
half of the reigning UWA World Tag Team Champions with Sophie James. We have proven that we can get it done
individually and that we can get along with anybody. There is nothing that can stop us, right?”
Jones
shuts her eyes and laughs lightly.
“And
that's when luck comes into play yet again.
Luck, you see, is like men. Some
men can be prince charming. Some men can
be your Mr. Perfect while other men can be outright abusive assholes or just
plain perverted stalkerish jackasses.
You just don't know what you will get when it comes to men, am I right
ladies?”
Jones
shakes her head.
“Just
like you can have good men and bad men, you can also have good luck and bad
luck. Now I think Willow and I had some
good luck being paired together. We've
proven to be a formidable force. But now
bad luck has reared its ugly head as we have to fight Serenity and Sophie James
in the semi-finals.”
Marie
frowns.
“Some
of you may not think much of Sophie James, but you don't know her like I
do. I had done horrible, terrible
things. I had been a vile human being
and very few people were willing to give me another chance. But Sophie was one of those individuals
willing to give me a chance. When I
needed a tag team partner to challenge for the tag team titles, Sophie was
there to back me up and be my partner.
Sophie isn't just a friend but a best friend and we are the UWA World
Tag Team Champions.”
She
sighs.
“It's
painful knowing that I have to fight Sophie in order to advance in this
tournament. In an ideal world, we
wouldn't have to fight each other. But
this isn't an ideal world. This is a
world where bad luck sometimes turns things on its head. If I want to be world champion, Willow and I
will have to go through Sophie and Serenity.
There is no way around it. But I
am a professional, and at the end of the day, despite her antics at times, so
is Sophie. We will do what is necessary,
we will have a friendly competition, and we will help our teams.”
Jones
points at the camera.
“But
I don't know you, Willow. I know
Serenity, our other opponent, and I truly believe her when she says she loves
you and she does not want to fight you.
Serenity wants to be world champion again but I'm not sure she wants to
be champion at the expense of you, Willow.
I almost believe she would do anything to ensure her relationship with you
stays intact, even if it meant sacrificing a shot at the world
championship. But you, Willow...”
She
shrugs her shoulders.
“...I
cannot say. I cannot say whether you
want Serenity as much as she wants you.
Ultimately it comes down to this, luck is a bitch and we were dealt a
bad hand here. I don't think you two
want to fight each other anymore than the Ginger Nation wants to fight each
other, but the four of us are professionals and this is about the greatest
prize in professional wrestling. This is
about a shot at the world championship.
And I do have faith that you want that title as much as I do.”
That
smirk returns to Marie's face.
“Serenity,
it seems that we are always in each other's way when it comes to the world
championship. At the Last Stand Rumble
we were involved in the controversial ending that helped Katelyn Buehler win it
all. Fast forward and we were both
involved in the main event of Invictus against Buehler and Taylor Cruze where
you finally won a world championship.
Now you have climbed back up the ladder, as have I, and we are both
nearly ready to snatch that brass ring, but once again we have to go through
each other first. As always, good luck,
maybe for once we can actually have a non-controversial ending, yeah?”
Marie
winks at the camera.
“Hi
Sophie! You know I love you and you love
me too...just not in that way!”
She
giggles.
“We're
besties, we're the tag team champs, and we're going to the rock house in
Belfast! And afterwards, hows about
loser buys drinks?”
Again
Marie winks at the camera.
“Luck,
it can be good or it can be bad, but you always need at least a little bit of
luck if you want to become world champion.
Let's see who the better team is and, maybe, who the luckiest team is,
on Outbreak.”
The
camera fades to black.
