Ladies and gentlemen of MCW, we have not been formally introduced yet, have we?  My name is Samantha Hodgson and I am the manager of champions.  I have an eye for talent.  My clients are not just great, they are living breathing legends in this industry.

My client, as a legend in her own right, wishes to return to her old stomping grounds in order to pay her respects to another legend of MCW fame…a man named Whiitecloud.

My client is the GCW Global Heavyweight Champion Marie Annabelle Jones and you should remember that name, not just because of her GCW success, but because she is the one who put your X division on the map.  Marie Annabelle Jones was and always will be recognized as the greatest X Division Champion in MCW history.

Now she has returned.  So get ready to bow down to your goddess.

“My father was a man named Sean Williams.”

She holds up a photograph of a man with dark, copper red hair and young features.  The look on his face tells the story of a man who has not had a good life, who has been screwed over time and time again by the ones he loves.  His face tells the story of a man who may be slightly crazy.

“He was a good man who intended to be a priest, but things changed when he met my mother, who had intended to be a nun.  Some might say the two made a mistake but that mistake gave birth to me.  Love is funny like that, isn’t it?”

“They continued to make mistakes.  Mom made a mistake by giving me up for adoption.  My father made a mistake by holding a grudge.”  She chuckles. “Funny thing about my dad is that he holds a grudge better than anyone else.  He pursued my mother everywhere she went, even into professional wrestling.”

The ginger nods her head. “Sean Williams trained to become a wrestler only because my mother had become a wrestler, so that he could legally beat her up in a wrestling ring.  Unfortunately for him it didn’t work out that way.  She beat him up and ended his wrestling career.  But did he let that stop him?”

She shakes her head. “No, he continued fighting, and that was the mistake that ultimately proved fatal as my mother, fearing what he might try next, put a bullet through his head one night and ended his life.”

She tears the photograph of Sean Williams up and drops the pieces around her.  Then she produces a photograph of Andreas Lasiewicz.

“My mother would move on with her life.  She met Andreas Lasiewicz.  They were a perfect match, it seemed.”  She laughs lightly. “They raised all kinds of hell in GDW!  They won titles together.  Andreas himself is a twelve time world champion and a GDW Hall of Famer.”

“Andreas gave me something Sean couldn’t…something to be proud of.  Andreas didn’t have to be a father for me but he stepped into that role and did it better than anyone else.  He gave me such good advice as I was thinking and planning my route to pro-wrestling.  Did you know that my mother was firmly against me becoming a wrestler?”

She nods her head. “That’s right, mom opposed it vehemently.  She couldn’t bear the thought of her little girl getting her ass kicked for a living.  But Andreas supported me and gave me advice, tips, and taught me many things about how to navigate the tough world.  I owe my career to him.  And that’s only one thing he gave me.  He also gave me the greatest gift I could ask for…”

“…a sister.” She smirks. “Well, I guess my mom kind of played a role in that too!”

“Through thick and thin, even after Andreas and mom broke up, the Lasiewicz and Jones bond remained strong through the relationship between me and my sister Jessica.  I owe it to Andreas.  I owe a lot to him.  And I imagine he won’t care, or believe me, but I want to take this time to thank him…for everything he has done for me.”

She tucks that photograph back into her pocket.  “He is the very definition of what it means to sacrifice.  He is the very definition of what it means to give one’s all, because he has given just about everything he has to give.  I mean, tell me, what else can you give when you are confined to a wheelchair?”

“There are some who have nothing else to give.” Marie produces a photograph of Whitecloud. “Whitecloud.  A man I never knew but whose legend and legacy lived on for years in the great company known as Motor City Wrestling.”

“Whitecloud gave everything he had to this sport and to this company so that it could be what it is today.  But his greatest legacy was left through his family.  A real man, a true father, will never abandon his family, and Whitecloud never gave up on his family.”

“Whitecloud is sorely missed.”

Marie bows her head, pausing dramatically, before looking up again. “Whitecloud did give us MCW and that gift has continued to give throughout the years and now that it is back, now that it has returned, it is my duty as an MCW alum, a woman and wrestler who has been blessed thanks to the fruit of Whitecloud’s hard work, to do what I can to return the favor in whatever way I can.”

“But who am I?”

She uses her thumb of her right hand to point to herself. “I am The Phoenix who always rises up from the ashes no matter what kind of abuse you dish out.  I am The Queen of Extreme who is not afraid to bleed and suffer abuse for this sport.  I am The Face of the MCW X Division, the woman who threw caution to the limit, defining the division, and giving new meaning to the term no limits.”

“My name is Marie Annabelle Jones and I am the woman who is making her return to Motor City Wrestling, a place I once called home, to pay my respects to Whitecloud, to repay MCW for everything they did for me, and, if I can play it right, win the Whitecloud Memorial!”
