==========
Intimidation
Game
On Camera
==========
The slow
steady of dripping water across metal can be heard in the pitch darkness that
envelopes the area, an area where you could not even see your own hand in front
of your face if you tried. That slow and
steady dripping of water is the only sound we hear for the longest time; or at
least it seems like a long time. In
reality it’s only been about a minute until we begin to hear footsteps coming
from off in the distance. As the
footsteps continue to come closer and closer thunder begins to roll in. Lightning flashes as well and we see the
distinct image of a female silhouette approaching. The lightning flashes again and we see the
female has stopped her approach and is a few feet away from the camera. Still, in the brief light the lightning
provides, we cannot make out who it is.
“Smoke and mirrors. Mind games.
The excessive violence, threats thereof or actual. Mind games.
Two crazy bitches who think you’re their mother. Mind games.
All of it, every last iota of it.
Nothing but mind games.”
The female
snaps her fingers, or at least the snapping of fingers can be heard through the
darkness and we can only assume she snapped her fingers. Suddenly the thundering ends, the lightning
ends, and the lights come on in full force and we see the female that stands
before us is none other than Jessica Lasiewicz, clad in black boots, black
pants, a black camisole top, and her signature black leather jacket. Her long black hair hangs unrestrained to
shoulder length.
“It’s popular to use mind games to try and
get into the head of your opponent.
Honestly, I can’t blame anyone for doing so, because it is an effective
strategy to use in our industry. All too
often weak-willed and weak-mind individuals fall prey to skilled mind game
players.”
Jessica
waves at the camera. “Hello Dawn
Lohan! I’m talking to you! You felt betrayed, hurt, and isolated by so
many individuals. Then Red Rayne began
making her strange advances and, lo and behold, now she’s your mother? Seriously?”
Lasiewicz
rubs her temple with her fingers on her right hand. She sighs, deeply, somewhat out of
frustration.
“Is that a fad now? Calling people their mother? I see it in GCW, I see it here in SCW, is it
going to start in IWC now too?” She regains her composure. “In any event, Dawn was weak enough to let
Red Rayne’s mind games turn her into a psychotic. For that alone I will give you credit,
Red. You’re good. You’re real good.”
Jessica
raises her right arm up into the air and then slowly begins to lower it. As she lowers it the lights dim. It goes pitch black again and we can no
longer see Jessica Lasiewicz. She is
left in utter darkness.
“But you’re not the only one who can play
mind games…”
Suddenly a
loud booming sound echoes out in the area and immediately a spotlight flashes
on, shining upon Jessica Lasiewicz and her alone. A confident smirk is etched across her lovely
features.
“There’s something else you should know,
Red. All of your mind games, the smoke
and mirrors, and especially all of that violence, all of those tricks and games
are attempts at intimidation. I know
this. Everyone knows this. And I have no doubt you will attempt to
intimidate me with the typical Red Rayne threats of violence. And I have no doubt that on Breakdown when we
go head to head that I will endure every ounce of violence that you are
prepared to dish out.”
A light
chuckle escapes her lips. “Funny thing
is, I’m looking forward to it. Bring
your worst, Red. Make me bleed, make me
suffer, beat me down until I can’t get back up.
The fact is that you’re going to have to do all of that if you want to
keep me down. I am not weak-willed or
weak-minded like your pathetic ‘daughters.’
I am like a fucking cockroach in that you cannot kill me. I will keep coming at you until I have drawn
my last breath and for every little bit of pain I endure, I will give back to
you tenfold.”
The smile
that had been on her lips fades away as she says all this. She’s now intense and very focused as she
glares directly into the camera.
“Do you see it, Red? Let me spell it out for you. I am NOT intimidated. None of your games will intimidate me. Threaten me all you want, have your crazy ass
‘daughters’ dance around half-naked like the kids in Lord of the Flies if you
want, it won’t affect me. Use that
catchy slogan of yours. What is it
again? Abandon All Hope?”
She shakes
her head. “It isn’t going to be that
simple, Red.”
Young
Lasiewicz motions to herself. “I have
used the name Morning Star but another name I go by is Lady Gambit, a nod to my
famous father, Andreas Lasiewicz. Come
and place ya bets is what he would always say.
And that’s what I say to you now, Red.
Come and place your bet. How long
do you think it will take before you put me down? How much pain do you think it will take to
put me down? Are you even sure of
yourself, are you certain that you can put me down?”
“I know you are prepared to dish out a great
deal of punishment, quite possibly more punishment than I’ve had to endure in
my short career. But I’m warning you,
Red, I’m equally as prepared to take that punishment, I am equally as prepared
to fight through that pain and then dish out my out brand of punishment and
deal it right back at you. You may put
me down, but then again I may put you down.
We’ll see. But even if you do
manage to put me down, I can swear to you that I will not go down as easily as
some of the others have gone down in your wake.”
With a snap
of her fingers the one light, the spotlight shining on Jessica herself, goes
out, leaving us all in pitch blackness once again. But her voice does ring out…
“…come and place ya bets.”
