Mistaken Identity: Act 4

==========
Mistaken Identity
Act 4 ; Scene 1

==========

Expect the unexpected is a phrase that some would say is overused in the sport of professional wrestling.  All too often you hear color commentators and play-by-play analysts tell the viewers at home to expect the unexpected or that anything can happen…

Overused or not, the fact is that this phrase holds oh so true in the Independent Wrestling Cartel, but more especially in the personal and professional life of one of its top stars; Marie Annabelle Jones.

So many unexpected, shocking turn of events have taken place in the life of the self-proclaimed Phoenix that it would make your head turn, and some would argue that these unexpected events have made Marie’s head turn in the sense that they have had a major effect upon her.  No one expected her to fire her agent Samantha Hodgson and sign with Silas Mason.  As confident as she is in her own abilities, Marie herself didn’t even expect to catapult to superstardom, to the point that she would be in the main event of Invictus II, fighting for the IWC World Championship.

Then came the brand extension era with her agent, Silas Mason, in charge of the Riot brand and Drew Bryant in charge of the Uprising brand.  No one would have expected Drew Bryant to get one over on Silas, stealing Marie Jones out from under his nose and drafting her to the Uprising brand.

No one would have expected Marie Jones to be able to work together with Amanda Blaze and earn a tag team title opportunity, only to be forced to have to defend that tag team title opportunity and lose it to Eve and Siqua.  And no one would have expected Drew Bryant, who is truly fed up with the actions of Marie Annabelle Jones, to give Marie the chance to win back her tag team title shot, this time with a partner of her choosing, and no one would have expected that Drew Bryant would have done all of this at the behest of Kayla Jones, Marie’s aunt.

Unexpected things happen all of the time, and perhaps most people would not think that Kayla Jones coming to the defense of her nice is all that unexpected.  They are, after all, family, and family is supposed to look out for one another.  And in Marie’s case, she perhaps needs someone to look out for her ever since she did an unexpected thing of her own at the end of Uprising 6, planting her own agent Silas Mason with a Hot Shot, effectively firing him just like she fired Samantha Hodgson.

In the mind of Marie Annabelle Jones, though, this is not as simple as Kayla is her family and family looks out for another.  It was family, namely her own mother Angelica Jones, who convinced her to fire Samantha and hire Silas in the first place.  Then suddenly the entire family turned against Silas Mason and wanted Marie to do the same.

No, it wasn’t as simple as that, at least not as far as Marie is concerned.  She is not convinced that Kayla did this just because they’re family.  There’s something else there and Marie wants answers.

The scene is that of a house, in Boston, Massachusetts; a large house but not overly so, in Victorian fashion.  Based on its outward appearance you can tell the person living there is “well-off” but doesn’t like to flaunt it, for it is somewhat modest.  There is a sidewalk that leads to a parking area where a red 2015 Ford Taurus is parked.  The driver’s side door opens and the leader of the ginger nation, Marie Jones herself, steps out into full view.  The confident, borderline arrogant, superstar is wearing blue denim jeans, black high heeled boots, and a black long sleeved sweater.  Her long gorgeous ginger locks hang unrestrained to just below the shoulders.

She stares up the walkway and at the house for just a moment, considering what will no doubt be a tense confrontation with her aunt Kayla.  After the moment passes Marie begins to make her way up the walk with a determined stride, until the gets to the front door, where she stops.  Again she pauses for a moment, taking all of this in, before she begins to bang on the front door.

Jones waits for several seconds before banging again on the front door.  She waits again and this time she hears someone approaching from inside.  It isn’t long afterwards that the door creaks open.  Marie rests her eyes upon her aunt Kayla, standing there in a short-sleeved forest green dress with a hemline that stops at her knees, dark sheer pantyhose, and black high heeled pumps.  Clearly the elder Jones was getting ready for work when she was interrupted by her rather upset niece.

“Do you mind telling me what the hell is the meaning of this?!”

Marie stands there, staring into the eyes of her aunt, Kayla Jones.  There is a clear and distinct tension between the two red-head gingers, one that can be cut easily with a knife.  The tension eases only slightly as Kayla steps aside, allowing her niece entrance into her home.

“Nice seeing you too, Marie.”

“Whatever.”

Marie Annabelle Jones storms past her aunt Kayla and into the modestly luxurious home.  The younger half of the sisterhood watches as her oldest niece angrily walks, with a purpose, into the living room.  Kayla follows her, finding her niece has found a nice comfortable spot on the sofa, which is plush, golden, and very comfortable.

The rest of the living room can also be described as simply “comfortable” but also containing some items that illustrate how well-off Kayla is, including large plants near a window, a fancy fireplace with an expensive looking painting hanging overhead, and a large television set mounted on an adjacent wall.

Marie ignores all of these things.  Her focus is upon one thing and one thing only; getting answers from her aunt.  The elder Jones approaches her rather upset niece and stands over, staring at her.

“What's wrong this time?” Kayla asks with a note of sarcasm dripping from her voice.

“Your concern is touching.” Marie sneers. “It's so sweet.”

“What do you want from me?” Kayla shrugs her shoulders. “It seems that you're going to complain no matter what happens.  It gets rather tiresome to hear you, to be perfectly frank.”

“I'm sorry I bore you,” Marie shoots up to a standing position “but you were the one who started this problem, not me!”

“Problem?” Kayla frowns.

The ginger-haired crown jewel rolls her eyes.  Kayla claims that she grows tired of hearing her complain, but she grows tired of having to complain, complain about what she perceives to be legitimate issues.

“Don't feign ignorance.” She says, snapping at her aunt with venom in her voice. “You know exactly what I am talking about.”

Kayla shakes her head. “No, Marie, I honestly have no clue what the hell your problem is now.  So please, enlighten me.”

“You want to play it that way?” Marie asks. “Then fine, let me tell you about how I busted my ass to finally be taken serious amongst the professional wrestling world.  Let me tell you about how it wasn't too long ago that I was in the main event of Invictus II, how I became a world tag team champion, and how I could potentially become world champion again at Revolution.”

“Yes, and...?”

Marie sighs. “You're kidding right...”

“No, I'm not kidding.” Kayla insists. “And...”

“fine, continue playing innocent, but the fact is that I have built up a reputation of being not just one of the best wrestlers, not just being The Crown Jewel of Professional Wrestling, but I also built up a reputation of being among the most dangerous wrestlers in the sport...”

She points a finger at Kayla “...and you have potentially ruined that for me.”

There is an angry glare etched across the face of the self-proclaimed crown jewel.  But that glare is wiped off her face with the back-hand of Kayla's right hand as it connects across Marie's face.

“Kayla...” Marie's voice trails off momentarily as she rubs her stinging cheek “...what...”

“Sit down.”

Kayla commands, pointing to the sofa.  Marie nods her head and obliges.

“It's time for a reality check and, unfortunately, your mother isn't willing to say what's necessary to give you that reality check.  But I'm not your mother and I have no problem telling you what needs to be said.”

Kayla holds up one finger. “For starters, your reputation isn't exactly what you think.  Have you improved?  Are you a great wrestler?  Are you dangerous?  The answer to all three questions is yes and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to themselves.  But...”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Marie remarks “let me stop you right there, because I admit, I was not expecting you to say those things about me.  I wasn't...”

“You weren't expecting me to agree with you?”

Marie shakes her head. “No, I wasn't.”

“You can be annoying and talented at the same time.  Look at Alana Starr, Kennedy Street, Ethan Von Aaron...” Kayla pauses “...ok, well Ethan is just plain annoying so forget him, but in any event you get what I'm trying to say.  You are talented, it is your personality that has been getting on people's nerves.  The choices you have made in your career lately have upset people too, and I think you know exactly who I am talking about.”

The Phoenix nods her head. “Silas Mason.”

“Right.  You damn near destroyed your reputation on your own by siding with his slimy ass.  Same with Samantha Hodgson, who you were working with before him.  The fact is, Marie, and this is the same sermon I had to preach to your mother, that you never needed anyone else.  Sure, Silas may have negotiated a few good deals for you, but who won the matches?  You did.  Silas Mason did not climb into the ring at Extreme Fury to win that number contendership for you,”

Kayla points a finger at Marie “you did.  You did it all on your own.  He was just there to take credit for everything you did.  The harsh reality of it all is that your reputation was going down the tubes simply by being with him for so long.  Your association with him is what hurt your reputation, I had nothing to do with it, but by all means, Marie, tell me what it is that I did to hurt your reputation so damn badly that you felt it was necessary to march into my home and bless me out.”

The young superstar looks up at her aunt and then looks away, perhaps out of a semblance of shame, or guilt at what she had been saying or doing.  Eventually, after a tense moment, she turns and looks back at Kayla.

“The tag titles...”

“Yes?  What about them?”

“I have another chance to get the number one contender spot back.”

Kayla grins, remembering the part she played in getting that done.  It was sly and very public negotiating over social media between Kayla Jones and Drew Bryant that convinced the majority owner of IWC and Uprising GM to give Marie one more chance to earn a tag team title shot.  Kayla feels proud of her accomplishment.

“Yes, yes you do.  Congratulations and good luck against Cassius DeLight and Chris Davids.”

“I was...” Marie's voice trails off momentarily “...I was worried about my reputation, that...that...”

“You were worried that the world seeing your aunt Kayla rushing to your defense would make you look weak, is that it?”

Marie nods her head.  Kayla smirks, sitting down next to her niece. “To my knowledge the only two assholes who think you're weak are Ethan and Alana, and quite honestly if those two clowns dropped off the face of the earth no one would care except that brain dead slutty bitch Kennedy Street.”

“Fine, but...why did you do it?”

“Why did I help you?” Kayla places an arm around her niece's shoulder. “For starters, it was the right thing to do.  You had earned a tag team title shot with Amanda Blaze.  No one had ever been made to defend a title shot before until Drew Bryant did that to you and he clearly did that only because he had it out for you, because he doesn't like you.  People he does like, namely Vanilla Skyy, haven't had to jump through the same kind of hoops you have had to.”

“And...”

“Well there's also the fact that we are family.” Kayla remarks. “You are my niece and furthermore you are a Jones.  We always have one another's back no matter what.  That's why it hurt us, your mother and I both and Jessica, when you chose to side with Silas over your own family.”

Marie bows her head in shame. “Yeah, I...I really screwed up there...”

“Yes, you did.  But I think you're ready and willing to make things right and everyone deserves a second chance.  That's another reason I decided to help you, because you deserve a second chance.”

Kayla reaches into her pocket and produces her business card, handing it to Marie. “And I will help you in the future, if you'll let me.”

The Phoenix stares at the business card and then looks up at her aunt Kayla with surprise on her face.

“You want me...to be your client?”

“I am a manager now.” Kayla stands up. “Just think about it, ok?”

Marie nods her head. “Sure, I'll think about it, but that 's ALL I'm promising.  You being my manager would seem kind of awkward, I think, all things considered.”

“Take all the time you need to think about it, Marie.  And one last thing...”

“What's that?”

“Who is your partner going to be against Cassius DeLight and Chris Davids?”

Marie smirks knowingly. “Oh I know exactly who I'm going to pick...”

Marie reaches into her pocket and produces a small cell phone.  Jones dials a number and then places the phone up to her ear and waits.  And she waits.  Until finally...

“Hi there!  I got a great idea that I think you'll just love...”

I have been in just about every position in this industry.  I have been the competitor, I have been the authority figure, I have been the trainer, now I am a manager as well as being a wrestler once again.  Two things I have learned about life through my time in this industry are that everyone deserves a second chance and that no one is irredeemable.

Many of you on the Uprising brand may hate Marie for the things she has done and quite frankly, I can’t blame you.  Her actions lately have indeed been reprehensible.  You could blame part of it on the influence Silas Mason has had upon her but logically speaking you cannot throw him entirely under the bus.  Marie is a grown woman and has to take responsibility for her own actions.

Marie is ready to take responsibility for her own actions because I have given her the opportunity to do so.  Now some of you may ask why I would do that.  Why would I go to bat for her against Drew Bryant and argue for another tag title shot?

I could argue the fact that she is family and family does not abandon family under no circumstances, and I would be right.  I could argue that Marie never should have had to defend her tag title shot in the first place and I would be right.

Ultimately, though, this is about people deserving a second chance.  Marie deserves that second chance to earn the tag team title shots and, more importantly, she deserves a chance to do right certain wrongs and earn things the right way.

You don’t have to be beloved, you have to be a fan favorite.  I do not expect my niece to suddenly try to become a fan favorite.  She doesn’t care about the fans.  But she can still earn her victories the right way, she can still fight honorably.  And that is what I am giving her the chance to do.

Everyone deserves a second chance.  Including Marie.

Cassius DeLight and Chris Davids may want their revenge against Marie for costing them the tag title shot.  Fine.  I won’t argue with them.  But they have their chance to get their hands on Marie.  And if justice is their motivation then they can have it, but justice is also Marie’s motivation.  A sense of justice to make things right and get her tag title shot back and to make things right.

“She said what?”

These are the words of Kimberly Williams as she paces the floor at the Boston, Massachusetts home of Marie Annabelle Jones.  Marie’s meeting with her aunt went well enough.  The Phoenix wanted answers regarding why Kayla jumped to her defense over social media, she wanted to know why Kayla helped her out against Drew Bryant, and she got the answers she was looking for.

Marie did not just get answers out of this meeting, though.  In a way, she also got a reality check.  In a way, she got a wake-up call as to who she can trust and who she cannot trust.  Yes, Kayla Jones did help her.   Yes, Kayla did convince Drew Bryant to give Marie another opportunity to earn a tag team title shot, but what Kayla did amounts to more than that.  Those actions from the elder Jones proved to Marie that her family truly does care about her and that outside influences, namely outside influenced like Silas Mason, do not care about her and, truly are only about themselves.

It was an eye opening experience for young Marie.  When Angelica Jones, Marie’s mother, needed assistance after she left Silas Mason, Marie turned her back on the family.  When Marie needed assistance after she lost the tag team title shots to Eve and Siqua, when she needed assistance after firing Silas Mason and dumping him like a ton of bricks, the Jones family was there to assist her, to help her.  They didn’t care about her past.  They didn’t care about what she had done.  All they cared about was the fact that she was family and she needed help.

The lesson for Marie was that her family would always be there for her, that they would never abandon her or stab her in the back like so many others have done in the past.  For Marie, it showed her that she needs to start supporting her own family in much the same way that they have supported her.

“She said she helped me because it was the right thing to do,” Marie holds up one finger “because we are family, and…”

“…and?” Kim looks on curiously.

“…and because I deserve a second chance.”

The beauty in the room here with Marie Jones is her half-sister, Kimberly Williams.  They share the same father and amazingly they look almost identical in their facial features.  The only real way you can tell them apart is that Kim’s hair color is naturally black and Marie is a natural ginger.  But they are family and Kimberly has been assisting Marie in her own unique way.

Kimberly has long thought that the only thing Marie lacked was a killer instinct.  The Phoenix had all the talent in the world and all of the potential to be a superstar, but what she lacked was the killer instinct to do whatever was necessary to finish the job and to put down any all challengers that step into her path.

Nothing ever makes sense when it comes to Kimberly Williams, and there is no exception to that rule in this case, but for whatever reason, Kimberly felt that one way to pay her half-sister back for all of the trouble she had caused was to give her that killer instinct.  And so, over the course of the next several months, Kimberly would work with Marie; she would mold her, shape her, and eventually change her into that killer she wanted her to be.

Do you want evidence?  Look at how she took out Crissy Gardner, Scott Steele, and tried to take out Drew Bryant.  Granted she was suspended for those actions, but nevertheless she showed no remorse.  This truly was a new Marie and Kimberly had a big hand in her change.

Marie’s actions inside of the ring were not the only noticeable changes.  Kimberly has taken note of Marie’s recent relationship with one Arthur Pond.  Arthur, though,  due to the two women looking identical, believes Marie to actually be Kim, and Marie has yet to correct him on that point.  Kimberly has found that rather odd…

…and disturbing.

“A second chance, eh?” Kimberly resumes her pacing. “I am just curious as to what she means by second chance…”

Marie frowns and then shrugs her shoulders. “I, umm, dunno…”

“Well, Marie, let me put it to you like this.” Kimberly approaches the sofa and sits down next to Marie. “When you first came to IWC you were a goodie-goodie nothing.  People walked all over you.  Would you agree?”

The Phoenix nods her head. “Yeah…”

“Even after you dropped the goodie-goodie routine, you still made mistakes.  Hooking up with Alana Starr and Ethan Von Aaron.  Those two no-talent clowns held you back.  Hooking up with them made you look bad, correct?”

Jones rolls her eyes. “Definitely!  They were nothing but a problem then and they are nothing but a problem now!”

“But then you started working with me.” Kimberly says with a grin on her face. “And I have to admit, you have made a great deal of improvement.  You have made so many wonderful strides.  You showed your ruthlessness by taking out that sorry sack of shit Scott Steele.  You laid out Drew Bryant with a steel chair.  Hell, you even floored Silas Mason and you did it all by yourself.  It wasn’t some five on one mugging.  Five people can easily take out one guy.  You took him out on your own.”

The raven-haired beauty places a hand on Marie’s shoulder. “Now you have the opportunity to become IWC Uprising World Champion and you have that opportunity because of the changes you made to your life.”

Jones tilts her head to one side, studying her half-sister closely, trying her best to get a read off of her, to try and figure out where she is going with this.

“…and?”

“And quite frankly, Marie, I would hate to see you take a step back and regress to that naïve goodie-goodie who first started in IWC or even regress back to that lame-ass follower of Alana and Ethan.”

Marie chuckles lightly, shaking her head. “You don’t have to worry, Kimberly.  That’s not what Kayla was getting at.”

“Oh?”

“No, I think what she was trying to tell me was that I made a mistake in turning my back on my family.”  The ginger sighs. “And to be honest, she is absolutely right.  When my mother, my aunt Kayla, and my sister Jessica needed help against Silas Mason, when I was forced to choose a side, I chose Silas Mason over my family and that was wrong.”

Kimberly nods her head in a sense of agreement. “I see what you mean.  Family loyalty is important.  Just look at you and me.”

“Exactly.” Marie continues. “We started out as enemies but look at us now, we are Williams sisters, fighting on the same side.  And as for Kayla, she didn’t have to do anything for me, especially considering I turned my back on my own mother, but she still argued with Drew Bryant on my behalf, she stuck her neck out and put her reputation on the line on my behalf to secure another shot at the tag titles for me, and she did it because we are family.”

“That’s right, you do have another tag title opportunity…who are you facing this time?”

“Cassius DeLight and Chris Davids.”

Those two were randomly paired up in the last clusterfuck of a tag match, the one that saw Eve and Siqua become number one contenders.  At that time Marie was confident that they would not be a formidable force, due to the fact that they had never teamed together before.  But now that they have some history of working together, and due to the fact that they will both no doubt want revenge on Marie for costing them the initial title shot, that point will probably become moot.  Marie cannot rely upon her experience edge to save her.  But there is one item that she can correct from her end, to increase her chances of winning…

“Am I to assume that pathetic waste of space Amanda Blaze will be your partner again?”

Marie shakes her head. “Not this time.  I have someone else in mind whom I have worked with before, whom I get along with, and whom I know I can trust.”

“That’s excellent.” Kim answers with a grin. “That was the primary issue between you and Blaze.  You two couldn’t trust one another.  But may I ask, who do you have in mind to replace that bitch?”

“Just waiting on confirmation, and on contracts to be finalized,” Marie begins “but assuming everything goes through, my tag team partner will be Sophie James.”

“Sophie James…” Kimberly’s voice trails off “…she sounds familiar.  Where have I heard the name before?”

“Well you wouldn’t know her because you don’t know enough of TheTriad’s past.” Marie continues. “You only know anything involving me.”

“You are the only one I need to know.” Kimberly retorts.

“Fair point, but Sophie is perfect.  She has a history in IWC and, most importantly,” she flicks her long red locks of hair back “she is a card carrying member of the Ginger Nation!”

A knowing grin forms across Kimberly’s face. “I think this is going to work out perfectly.”

Now me and Kayla Jones haven’t always gotten along, but I am glad she has spoken up and been courageous enough to tell the truth.  Hell, I’m glad Chris Davids has been courageous enough to tell the truth.  The truth is that Drew Bryant hates Marie Annabelle Jones and he is letting his emotions, his feelings of hatred towards Marie to cloud his judgment.  The evidence was right there on Uprising 6.  Never before had anyone been made to defend a title shot until Drew Bryant got pissed off and did just that to Marie.

I have tried to tell you this, Marie has tried to tell you this, but none of you bothered to listen to us because none of you like us.  Oh but when your heroes Kayla Jones and Chris Davids say it, then you believe it?  It pisses me off to no end.  But hell, at least we got our point across, and at least justice is being done.

Well, it justice will be done as soon as my sister and her tag team partner Sophie James take out Cassius DeLight and Chris Davids to win back a tag title shot.

DeLight and Davids.  Team Double D.  You like that name?  I do.  But in any event, Team Double D is going to fall to The Ginger Nation and then justice, #GingerJustice, will be done.

A splash of orange appears on the screen followed by a hash-tag and the word “Ginger Nation”.  Then a female voice is heard…

“The following advertisement has been paid for by The Ginger Nation…”

The orange splash disappears and we go to a black and white backdrop with a few scattered splotches of red and orange here and there.  It isn’t long until Marie Annabelle Jones steps into view from stage right.  The lovely ginger is wearing a tulle strapless short little black dress, matching black high heeled sandals, and black sunglasses over her eyes.  Her long gorgeous red hair is left to hang unrestrained to shoulder length.  The beautiful ginger is sporting an ear to ear grin that will probably have to be surgically removed.

“I’m never one to complain about title shots or award nominations or any kind of accolade IWC is willing to bestow upon me.  After all, I am The Crown Jewel of Professional Wrestling, I am the number one overall draft pick and the reason why people tune in to watch Uprising.  I definitely expect people to shower me with praise.  But then you have people like Drew Bryant…”

Jones shakes her head “…Drew, I just do not understand you or your motives.  I make you and your company money.  I am the reason why your pathetic brand stays afloat.  And how am I rewarded?  First you suspend me and then you screw me out of a rightly earned tag team title shot.”

The ginger makes tsk tsk noises as she again shakes her head. “Poor Drew, you just can’t seem to run a company properly, can you?  Didn’t anyone ever tell you that you cannot run a company based on who like or dislike?  You will never be as good as me, you will never have the wrestling knowledge that I have, but that is no reason to be jealous of me and that is no reason for you to take your frustrations out on me.”

She points a long, carefully manicured finger at the camera, presumably at Drew Bryant himself, assuming he is watching right now.

“Your bias against me is showing, Drew.  Your bias against me is quite clear and evident, so much so that even Chris Davids can see it.  Even my aunt Kayla can see it and she doesn’t like speaking up on my behalf.  You made a mistake.  You committed a crime against me by taking my title shot away from me.  And don’t try to sell that line of bullshit that I lost the title shots fair and square, because I shouldn’t have had to defend them in the first place and secondly I hardly had a fair chance to win.  I was up against four other teams with an absentee partner.”

“But that’s fine, all will be made right soon enough, Drew.  The world has seen your crime for what it is and now justice will be served.  #GingerJustice t o be precise, which brings me to my next point…” she winks at the camera

“…I do my best in IWC.  I win some and I lose some but I have to say that this year has been arguably my biggest, most successful year.  I have won championships, I have main evented the biggest pay per view on the calendar year, and I am about to become world champion again, and I even won an award in IWC for my great performance.”

The lovely red-head mockingly takes a bow. “You love me, you really love me!”

“One thing that I found rather humorous is that #GingerNation got nominated for stable of the year in IWC and hell, we were never in IWC!” She shrugs her shoulders. “How that happened, whoever nominated her, I don’t know!  #GingerNation was in GCW but we were never in IWC…”

A knowing grin forms across her face as her voice trails off “…until now!”

“You see, Davids and DeLight had once suffered from one major disadvantage heading into last Uprising’s clusterfuck; the fact that they had never teamed before, the fact that they no chemistry.  But now that’s supposedly not a problem, is it?  They have teamed together, they have probably developed some small amount of chemistry, and they are facing one familiar opponent…namely, moi…it would appear as if it would be a fairly even match this time, wouldn’t it?”

Marie shakes her head.  “No, sorry, not even close.  You see, appearances can be deceiving and while it is true that one major disadvantage Chris and Cassius had has been eliminated, it is also true that one major disadvantage I had for the past few months has also been eliminated and that disadvantage goes by the name of Amanda Blaze.”

“In this quest for justice, in this quest to win back what was stolen from me, I was given the opportunity to choose anyone I wanted to be my tag team partner.  Do you honestly believe I would choose Amanda Blaze again?” Marie shakes her head. “No, not this time, nor will I ever, let her team with me.  I get to pick my tag team partner and the partner I choose will damn sure hold up her end of the bargain.  The tag team partner I choose will be someone whom I can trust.  The tag team partner I choose will be a member of the #GingerNation!”

“That’s right, I chose Sophie James to be my tag team partner, because I can trust her to have my back.  We have worked together before so there will not be any chemistry issues.  But you two, Cassius and Chris, you two still are inexperienced when it comes to one another.  Yes, you have ONE match, ONE measly little tag team match together under your collective belt, and you can argue that you may have won the match had it not been for me, but winning or losing is irrelevant,”

She holds up one finger “it is still just one match!  The #GingerNation have been working together for a long time now and we have developed the chemistry and t rust necessary to get us through this match and to win that tag team title shot.”

“And hey, maybe next year when awards season rolls around, the #GingerNation will actually deserve to be nominated!  Because Sophie and I will defeat Cassius and Chris and then we will go on to become the IWC World Tag Team Champions, making our mark, a #GingerMark, indelibly on IWC history!”
