Life
couldn’t get much better for Corey Jones, the youngest of the Jones Family
prodigies, and this is despite her lackluster SCW record as of late. So what if she hasn’t appeared on television
that much and so what that, when she has appeared on television, its usually
been in losing efforts? It isn’t that
big of a deal for Corey because, in her mind, she already has something far
more important to her than a successful professional wrestling career. Corey has obtained something that few girls
her age can ever say that they’ve achieved…
…and as
mushy as it may sound, that something happens to be true love.
The irony of
it all is that her one true love is Kyle Butler and that Kyle Butler is the
same guy who, at one point in time, forced Corey into being his subservient
cheerleader. Needless to say, the two
did not get off to a good start. But
their rough start being beside the point, they quickly grew to respect one
another after Corey won her freedom from Kyle; and that respect grew into
friendship and, later, into something much more.
Corey
realizes now that Kyle, in his own unique misguided way, was only trying to
protect her from what he thought was a sport that was too rough for her. And Kyle now realizes how wrong he was for
doing what he did to Corey.
Now she no
longer sees Kyle as an oppressor, nor does she sees him as merely a
friend. She sees Kyle as her lover and,
even more than that, as a way out of her old life, a life that has been
consumed and overshadowed by the legends and legacies, and at times curses, of
the Jones family and the Lasiewicz family.
Kyle brings with him the opportunity for Corey to make something of
herself and to separate herself from her famous families.
It’s an
opportunity she has longed for now for quite awhile.
Still,
making a new image for oneself is easier said than done, even with someone like
Kyle Butler backing you up. And as much
as Corey doesn’t want to say that winning isn’t the end all be all in the
sport, even she has to admit that winning is very important. Her lackluster performance thus far in SCW
cannot continue for much longer. She
needs to eventually figure things out and, perhaps, this match coming up on
Breakdown against Dante McCaffery is her opportunity to get things back on
track.
Dante will
be especially challenging, not just due to his skill level, which Corey does
respect, but also due to his running buddies in PUNK HAZARD. Corey needs a win here but winning won’t be
easy when it clearly won’t be one on one, it will most likely be four on one as
Corey will have to have eyes in the back of her head at all times, dealing with
Dante and his running buddies, in her attempt to gain a victory.
Oh but
professional wrestling will have to wait.
Satisfying her baser, more carnal desires is currently on the mind of
Corey Jones as she lies in bed with her future husband Kyle Butler. She is wearing an eyelash lace tie skirt that
features a tie back and mesh and satin accents that, complete with the lace
translucent mesh demi-bra, just seems to shout sexy. Kyle is wearing nothing but a pair of crimson
red boxer shorts.
“Ah…”
Corey’s sigh
is a deep, pleasant one that seems to indicate how happy she is right now. Kyle runs a hand through her long red hair.
“What’s up, babe?”
“I’m just happy.”
“About what?”
“Other than the fact that I’m lying here
with my sexy man?”
Kyle
chuckles lightly.
“Yeah, other than that.”
“Well that should be enough, shouldn’t it?”
Corey
breaths in and then lets oiut another deep sigh.
“But if you must know, I’m just happy
knowing how much closer I am now to OFFICIALLY becoming Jessica-Corey Butler!”
Yes, today
was quite a busy day for the future married couple. Kyle and Corey were at the Boston courthouse
making sure all of the proper paperwork was filled out and completed so that
both of them could have their marriage licenses, both of them could be married,
and that Corey could legally change her name from Jessica-Corey Jones to
Jessica-Corey Butler. And yet, as happy
as this makes Corey and as happy as it makes Kyle, even he is still surprised
by this turn of events.
“I still don’t understand.”
Corey turns
over and stares into Kyle’s eyes.
“What don’t you understand, babe?”
“Your mother’s family, the Jones family,
they are legendary. Even your father’s
family is legendary in this sport. Why
wouldn’t you want to keep either o f those names?”
Corey grins
knowingly.
“Kyle, sweetie, everyone will always know
that I am the daughter of Angelica Jones and Andreas Lasiewicz. That’s one scarlet letter I will probably
never shed.”
“Scarlet letter? You speak as if it’s a bad thing being a
Jones or a Lasiewicz.”
Corey rolls
her eyes.
“You know who my father is, right? The obsessive Morning Star…maniac on a
lunatic fringe. Best buddies with that
asshat Jon Collins. Yeah, I have plenty
to be proud of there…”
Kyle
chuckles.
“Fine, your point is made, but you have to
admit that your mom has and still is trying to redeem herself. She’s trying to change her ways.”
“Yes, that’s true, but she spent time in a
mental institution.”
“Yes, but so what? She seems better now.”
Corey sits
up in bed and shakes her head vehemently.
“You don’t get it. It’s not that simple.”
Kyle sits up
in bed as well and stares into Corey’s eyes.
“Then make it simple.”
“Kyle, did you ever bother to ask why my
mother spent time in a mental institution?”
Kyle shrugs.
“Uh, no…?”
“She was sent there under a judge’s
orders. And it was either that or spend
life in prison.”
“Life?!”
Corey nods
her head.
“She murdered my sister Marie’s father.”
“I…I didn’t know…”
“She murdered him in a psychotic rage when
she thought he was going to be rewarded with full custody of Marie. She wanted to make sure that didn’t happen
and murdering him was the only solution she could come up with.”
Despite
herself and despite the harsh subject, Corey lets out a small bit of laughter.
“Now do you see why I want to separate
myself not only from my father but from my mother as well? It isn’t that I don’t love them. I do love them. It’s just that I want to be my own
person. I don’t want to be associated
with what they’ve done.”
Kyle nods
his head. Then he runs his hand through
her long red hair before kissing her on the forehead.
“Yeah, I guess I can understand why you
wouldn’t want to be associated with that, but still, what other alternative do you have?”
Kyle shrugs
his shoulders.
“What’s so great about being a Butler?”
Corey leans
in and plants a big, passionate kiss on his lips. Needless to say, Kyle looks rather stunned by
this unexpected turn of events.
“What…what was that for?”
“That was to show you that you don’t give
yourself enough credit, sweetie. And
there’s more where that came from if you want…”
She winks.
“So what do you say?”
“What do I say?”
He smirks.
“Roll tide, baby!”
Corey and
Kyle lean in towards one another. Their
lips meet and they begin to passionately kiss.
Kyle’s hands find their way down towards her smooth sexy legs while
Corey hugs him tightly.

The camera
feed begins to roll and immediately we are faced with none other than “The
Polish Firecracker” Corey Jones. Jones
is wearing a sleeveless, dainty little black dress featuring a unique round
neckline and a floral lace overlay with a cutout back. Her feet are encased in strappy black high
heeled sandals. Her long red hair hangs
unrestrained to shoulder length.
“It won’t be long now before I make another
great big step in my life.”
Corey holds
up her hand, proudly displaying the diamond engagement ring on her ring finger.
“Soon I will be married and soon you will
all call me by my new married name Jessica Corey Butler. But what’s in a name?”
She shrugs
her shoulders.
“After all, no matter what you call me,
whether you call me Jessica or Corey, or Jones or Lasiewicz, nothing can change
who and what I am. Nothing can change
that the fact that I am the daughter of Angelica Jones and Andreas Lasiewicz.”
She smirks.
“You don’t get to pick your family. You have no control over that. One thing I do have control over is who I
choose to be and I choose to be part of The Golden Era. I choose to be a part of Redemption. And I choose to be The Polish Firecracker.”
Corey nods
her head.
“We Poles are a long-suffering bunch of
people. First we suffered under Nazi
Germany and then we would be liberated, only to end up suffering even more
under Soviet Russia. And yet despite
everything that has been thrown at us throughout history, we have survived
because that’s who we are. We are
survivors. And that’s another thing I
choose to be. I choose to be a
survivor. No matter what happens to me,
no matter how many times I get knocked down, I will keep getting right back up. I may lose a match here and there, hell, I
may even go on a long losing streak, but nothing will stop me from coming back
again and again, nothing will stop me from busting my ass, from paying my dues,
until I have climbed up the ladder of success.
Now have I been all that successful lately here in SCW?”
She shakes
her head.
“No, no I haven’t. Needless to say, this isn’t exactly what I
had in mind for a career in SCW when I made the jump from the Independent
Wrestling Cartel well over a year ago. I
could blame anyone and everyone else, I could come up with any and every excuse
under the sun, but ultimately it all falls on me. I have to earn my own way. I have to be successful. But am I going to quit?”
A rare
intensity fills the eyes of Corey Jones as she again shakes her head.
“Oh hell no!
I will not quit because I am a survivor!
No matter how many times I may fail, no matter how many times I may
lose, I will keep getting up and I will keep trying until I find the right formula
that leads to success.”
She points a
long slender finger into the camera.
“And perhaps that success will begin with
you, Dante McCaffery?”
Corey
chuckles.
“The funny thing about all of this is that
while I am fighting all on my own, all by myself, to try and get back to where
I want to be in this sport, people like you cannot get by in this sport without
relying on your gang of thugs and goons like a pathetic little crutch. Win or lose on Breakdown, I can hold my head
high knowing that I did things the right way while a little punk like you, even
if you win, you couldn’t win without help.”
She shakes
her head.
“Don’t even pretend like PUNK HAZARD won’t
be there, don’t insult my intelligence like that, because everyone knows PUNK
HAZARD will be there. You and the rest
of those thugs can’t do anything without holding each other’s hands like the
pussies you really are.”
An evil
glint enters Corey’s eyes.
“But you know, maybe you’d be smart to bring
PUNK HAZARD to the ring with you?”
She shrugs
her shoulders.
“Who am I to judge? I mean, I can’t really blame you for wanting
an extra advantage. When I want to, when
I have to, when I’m backed into a corner, I can turn on the monster
within. And do you really want that?”
She shakes
her head.
“No, you don’t want that. You don’t want the monster and, quite
frankly, it’s something I’ve been trying to avoid. But knowing that this is clearly not one on
one, knowing that this is going to be me against you Dante and your three pals,
with all of that in mind, my hand is being forced. I will have to reach down into the darkest recesses of my soul and become
that something, that force that I fear and that same force that you should fear
as well, Dante.”
Jones
smirks.
“I may go down, Dante, but if I go down I’m
damn sure bringing you and some of your idiot friends with me and that’s not a
threat, it’s a damn promise.”
They say that the definition of insanity is
doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.
Mom didn’t raise a fool and I’m damn sure
not insane.
I am intelligent enough to know that the one
thing that gives Dante McCaffery an edge on Breakdown is the numbers game. I hold no delusions over Dante wanting a fair
fight. He doesn’t want a fair
fight. None of those clowns in PUNK
HAZZARD want a fair fight. They want to
do whatever it takes to win, plain and simple.
That’s fine, because I’ve dealt with his
type before and I know exactly what to do against his type.
No more fun and games, no more playing nice,
and no of the saintly angel you all may have thought I was. Instead Dante gets to deal with the devil.
Dobranoc…
Fade to
black.
