Inner Peace: Part 10

It has been over a week since Marie Annabelle Jones has joined The Inner Peace Enlightenment Retreat on a full time basis.  This came after confronting Julianne Buchanan with news of her brother, Brandon, seeking her out.  Whether it was guilt or concern or some other emotion, the point is Marie felt bad enough for her friend to finally break down and join this movement…

...or cult, depending upon who you ask and that’s what Kimberly calls it.  Kimberly and the rest of the Jones family haven’t exactly been thrilled with Marie’s decision to join the retreat.  But Marie seems committed to this new lifestyle she has chosen.  She even went as far as to sell her home in Boston, Massachusetts so she could move in with Julianne and live on the grounds of the retreat.

For her part, Julianne is utterly thrilled with the prospects of Marie living with her full time.  She won’t admit it but she has been lonely ever since joining the retreat.  Marie provides some much needed company.  Plus Julianne is attracted to Marie in a physical, sexual way.  She respects Marie’s relationship with Tommy Cook and will make no further advances towards her but still, just being around her is enough of a reward for Julianne.

So tonight is the time for a celebratory meal and that is why Marie Jones is skipping along the hall, humming to herself, towards the the dining room.  The redheaded beauty is wearing an ankle length floral print skirt, simple black flats, and a sleeveless red top.  Jones stops in front of a door, pushes it open, and enters a dining room.

Calling it a dining-room was somewhat misleading. It was a room. They ate in it. That was all. In it stood a cheap ikea table that rocked when you leant on it, two old white chairs from the thrift store and a pair of thread-bare orange curtains that let the heat escape in winter as easily as if they were not there at all. The light bulb in the center of the room was bare and hung down on it's white wire, adding to the meager ambiance of the room. It was the kind of room you ate Kraft dinner in washed down with own-brand pop.

“Julianne?  You here?”

“Behind you!” The door shuts and Julianne wraps her hands over Marie’s eyes.  The Phoenix chuckles lightly as she twists herself around and finds Julianne standing there behind her with a wide grin on her face. “Ta-da! How do I look?”

Marie takes a few steps back and observes her blonde friend.  Julianne is wearing a bright yellow sundress and matching sandals.  Marie nods her head and gives her a thumbs up sign. “Looking good, Julianne.”

“Thanks!  I wanted to make sure I looked great for you, sweetie!  I mean, I’m still kinda surprised you wanted to do dinner with me tonight, all things considered…” her voice trails off.  Marie shakes her head.

“Oh hush now, you!” Marie says cheerfully. “Tonight is about you...it’s about me...it’s about a celebration of inner peace!  Am I right?”

“Right!  Of course!” Julianne embraces Marie in a tight hug. After breaking the embrace she motions to the table. “Now sit!  I’ll bring our meal!”

Marie nods.  She can only imagine what her blonde friend has potentially prepared for this evening. She is quite hungry and is anxiously anticipating the good food on its way.  Jones approaches the table and sits down.  A few moments later Julianne reemerges with plates of food, bringing them one at a time to the table; mushroom soup, bitter greens with tomatoes the size of peas, rare roast beef slices as thin as paper, noodles in a green sauce, cheese that melts on your tongue served with sweet blue grapes.

“This looks absolutely delicious, babe!” Marie says as she looks up at Julianne. “Did you make this?”

“Yeah…” Julianne says, her face blushing “...hope you like it!”

“I just know I will!” Marie says with a wink.  She takes her spoon and dips it into the soup, placing it in her mouth and sucking the soup down.  Jones nods her head. “Very good!”

“You should try the grapes.” Julianne says with a wink of her own. Marie nods her head and reaches for the grapes but Julianne blocks her hand. Marie looks up at Julianne curiously. “No, allow me.”

Julianne takes a grape and tosses it over at Marie who catches it in her mouth.  Jones chuckles. “Wow…”

“Good catch, sweetie.” Julianne remarks as she sits down at the table with Marie.  “So, everything taste good Marie?”

“So far I have to admit that you have done an absolutely fabulous job!” Marie exclaims in confirmation.

“Good, and I am glad that you did make the decision to stay full time with us.” Julianne remarks happily. “I was worried that this day would never come and then when you said you wanted to have dinner tonight, it was just confirmation that our friendship is a special one.”

“What do you mean?” Marie asks inquisitively as she takes another sip of her hot soup.

“Oh I just mean that our relationship is a strong one; too strong to be torn apart by outside influences.”

“Do you mean people like Brandon?” Marie asks.  Julianne nods her head.

“Exactly.  They just do not understand that what you and I have here at the retreat is special.”

“That’s one word for it…” Marie says with a chuckle.  Julianne nods in agreement as she sips her wine.

“How did your family handle the news that you were joining on a full time basis?”

“Not very well.” Marie answers shaking her head. “I mean, you should have heard my sister Kimberly.  She may be smart...hell, she is definitely smarter than me...but she just doesn’t understand.”

“No, she doesn’t, just like my brother doesn’t.” Julianne remarks, shaking her head. “Maybe they never will?  But then again it’s just like you told me, we have family here at the retreat.  This retreat, you and I, this is family now.”

“You’re right, Julianne.  Absolutely right.” Marie points to the grapes. “Hey, how about another one of those grapes?”

“Sure!” Julianne takes a grape and tosses it, this time Marie misses and the grape falls to her feet. “Darn, I missed…”

“SIlly!” Julianne exclaims. “I’ll get it!” The blonde gets up out of her chair and approaches Marie.  As soon as she gets there Marie gets up as well, grabs her by her head, and locks lips with her in a passionate kiss.  Julianne pushes away after awhile and looks surprised.

“Marie that was...it was…”

“You loved it.” Marie says seductively.

“Well yeah...but I thought you said…”

“I don’t care what I said.” Marie remarks with a sinister grin. “I can tell that you want me, I figured that out by the way you have been looking at me.  And you know what?”

“What?”

“I want you.”

The two women lock lips again.  The passion grows more and more intense with each passing second.  Julianne reaches over to Marie’s skirt and pulls it off, casting it aside.  Marie helps pull Julianne’s dress off and casts it aside.  Julianne pulls Marie’s top off and now both women are in their underwear.  Julianne notices the hot pink underwear Marie is wearing and the word “STABBY” written on the front of those underwear.

“STABBY?” Julianne asks curiously. “Is that an innuendo?”

“Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t?” Marie...or rather KIMBERLY says with a giggle. Before anything can go further the door to the dining room opens suddenly.  Raul Alfaro steps in.

“Marie, Julianne…”

“Mr. Alfaro!” Julianne is upset that they were discovered. “Mr. Alfaro, I...I can explain…”

“Do not speak, please.” He remarks pointing at Kimberly. “I only wish to speak with her.”

“Marie?” Julianne asks.  Raul nods her head.

“Yes.  And I want to speak with her alone.”

Julianne looks nervously at Kimberly.  The Woman Scorned seems unphased by this and gives her a nod of assurance. “I’ll be fine, Julianne.  Trust me.”

“Ok…” reluctantly Julianne picks up her dress and walks out of the room, leaving Raul alone with Kim.  Kimberly winks at Raul.

“So how long were you watching us?”

“Who says I was watching?”

“Oh it’s just an assumption I made.  I know people.  I can read them like a book, y’know?  And you look like the kinda guy who would enjoy watching some hot lesbian action.”

“Well you know what they say when you assume things, Ms. Jones?”

“If that’s supposed to be a denial then it’s not a very good one!” Kimberly declares.  Raul then approaches her and grabs her by her head and plants a kiss on her lips.  After breaking the kiss Kimberly chuckles. “That’s not a very good denial, either.”

“It wasn’t meant to be a denial, Ms. Jones.” Raul states flatly. “Do you understand why Julianne is here at this retreat?”

“Yes…” her voice trails off, Kimberly doesn’t know exactly why she came here originally but after finding out about her sexual orientation she has a suspicion why.  But if Raul thinks that Marie knows then it’s best that Kimberly keep up the act.

“Julianne is a special case.  And it pleases me to see that perhaps your...friendship...is healing her mentally and emotionally.  Julianne has been a little distant from me since joining and I always felt it was due to her continued pain and difficulty dealing with her past.” Raul runs a hand through Kimberly’s long red hair. “But perhaps you and her both can be...my special girls…”

Everyone has their breaking point.  I mean, you can only take so much before you snap and go absolutely fucking crazy.  Some would say I’m way past crazy and you know, they have a point.  I am the one who chases people with staple guns and throws things at old people and yadda yadda yadda; that’s me!  I’m the crazy one!  I’m an admitted lunatic and proud of it!

Oh but everyone has their breaking points, including me.  Thing is, what happens someone who is already certifiably insane, what happens with a known sociopath reaches their version of the breaking point?  I can tell you one thing, it’s a hell of a lot worse than when Joe Shmoe has a bad fucking day and goes off on a killing spree.

The mistake people in SCW make, the same mistake Ryan and Autumn and even their little ass buddy Christy made, is thinking that yours truly is just a fun loving old crazy person with not one damn care in the world.  The rest of you people in SCW would be safe if that were the case.  Watson, Valentine, Christy, and Ravyn would all be safe if I didn’t care about a damn thing.  Unfortunately I do care about one thing...just one god damn thing...and that dumbass whore Christy was fucking stupid enough to assault her, to try and give that one thing I care about a concussion.

Marie.  My twin sister Marie is the only person, place, thing that I give a damn about.  You know who Marie is?  She is a saint.  She risked her reputation to save me.  Everyone else in my own family was willing to accept that I was a lost cause and they were willing  to let me spend the rest of my days in an insane asylum but Marie was unwilling to accept that, she fought for me, she helped me...and this is all despite the many times I tried to push her away....

...I owe Marie my life.  I do not like owing people anything.  So you can understand why I am so loyal to my sister.  And you can understand just why right now I have this overwhelming urge to carve a great big Thanksgiving Turkey, only maybe after I make the first incision I’ll hang her by her neck on the top rope and see if her intestines come falling out.

Ryan, I wouldn’t gut you like a fish.  No, I’ll do that to your little braindead wifey and make you watch.  Then I’ll happily cripple your ass.  As far as I’m concerned, that’s you two getting off easy for playing a role in what happened at Under Attack.

And then Ravyn? Hell, I’ll just fuck her up just because she’s there and just because I can.

And if you think I’m just talking crap just to talk then you are wrong.  You four have no idea what I am capable of and on Breakdown you had better hope and pray that Marie can contain me or that Jordan or Jake one will end this before I get my hands on any of you.  Because if I get my way, this will be a bloodbath.

You hurt the ones I love, then I will hurt you back.  Eye for an eye, bitches.
