Law & Order

==========
Law & Order

==========

Sometimes changes have to be made.  Evolution is a necessary part of life.  The only ones who survive are those who adapt to change and the evolution that goes on around them.  No one should know that better than the current and former IWC Evolution Champions Andre Jordan and Gavin Taylor, the two former rivals turned tag team partners, at least for this one upcoming Riot, against the Apocalypse team of Aerik Walker and Marie Annabelle Jones.

Young Jones, the newer member of the Apocalypse duo, has recently realized that change was inevitable if she were to survive in this world known as the Independent Wrestling Cartel.  Everyone was taking up sides and taking up arms.  Lines were being drawn.  You were either on Team GOOD, Sinistry, or some other nefarious organization.  You could not go anywhere without someone’s ally sticking their nose in your business.  It got on Marie’s nerves that she could not wrestle a single match without someone else getting involved in her business.  Marie knew that something had to be done.

So Marie and Aerik did what some might say was unthinkable.  Some might call it a sell-out.  They had Apocalypse join up with Alana Starr, Porno Lad, and The Good Movement.  Alana and her crew was a growing band, a growing “movement” if you will, and Marie and Aerik knew that friends had to be made in order to survive.

Another alliance Marie made was with Samantha Hodgson.  This, too, was a questionable one due to the fact that Hodgson had only recently been fired by Angelica Jones, Marie’s mother, before Marie herself hired her as her agent.  This was a situation that was awkward on many levels for mother and daughter but as far as Marie was concerned, Samantha Hodgson was a hot commodity.  Hodgson had taken her mother to multiple world championships.  Why her mother would want to fire Sam is beyond her, but her mother’s loss is Marie’s gain.

Samantha Hodgson had convinced Marie to make changes in other ways as well.  She convinced her to feel proud of herself and of who she is.  She convinced Marie that humility does not get you too far in the wrestling industry and thus she helped Marie change her personality in an almost 180 degree turn.  The formerly humble young lady is now an overly confident, borderline arrogant, prideful woman who will tell anyone who will bother to listen about how great she is.

Unfortunately it doesn’t end there.  Kimberly Williams was in a mental asylum after her recent kidnapping plot against Marie.  Kimberly told Marie about how Abigail Lindsey knew of the plot and while that did enrage Marie, she was willing to just let it slide now that everything was back to normal.  But Hodgson got into her ear and told her that justice must be served.  She said a deed like that could not go unpunished.

For Marie it’s about justice, for Hodgson it’s a spiteful act against Abigail Lindsey that brings them both to the office of the chubby bushy haired lawyer known as James B. Garfield, a man who has not had any personal dealings before with Samantha Hodgson but Samantha herself has heard of him and hears he has a good reputation for winning difficult cases.

“Tell me then, Ms. Jones, what exactly is your complaint against Ms. Lindsey?”

The red head leans back in her chair, smiling rather smugly but not responding.  Her agent, the powerful businesswoman Samantha Hodgson, fields this question for her.  And respond she will, with a fire in her eye and intensity in her voice…

“Have you been living under a rock, counselor?  Do you have any idea who this is?”

The lawyer, James B. Garfield, nods his head. “Yes, you introduced yourselves before coming into my office.”

“Don’t be a smart ass.” Hodgson snaps back. “This is my client, Marie Annabelle Jones, and we DEMAND justice!”

“And I will gladly fight for justice on her behalf, but I need to know what her complaint is, Ms. Hodgson.”

“You really do not know?”

He shakes his head. “No clue.  I know you told me she’s a wrestler but that’s all I know.”

He chuckles. “Believe it or not, Ms. Hodgson, not everyone is a wrestling fan.”

“Clearly.” Samantha is gritting her teeth angrily and it is at this juncture that Marie feels it is necessary to chime in.

“It’s ok, Sammy, I’ll handle this.”

The Boston native turns her attention to the chubby bushy haired man sitting at the desk.  He doesn’t seem too nervous about this or awestruck.  Clearly he really hasn’t seen any wrestling otherwise he would know exactly he is talking to and already know the answer to his own question.

“Ok Jimmy, may I call you Jimmy…”

“Um…”

“Good!” She beams happily. “So Jimmy, I am a wrestler and while you may not know an awful lot about wrestling, what you do need to know is that people love me.”

“They do?”

A look of skepticism is clearly written upon this lawyer’s face but Marie is too ignorant to notice it as she is caught up in her own self-glorification.

“Yes!  They absolutely cannot get enough of me!  People adore me!  Did you know that I am already in the running for IWC’s most popular wrestler?”

“Is that so?” A chuckle escapes Garfield’s lips, one that Marie does not notice.

“That’s right, me and Alana Starr at least.  No one else even comes close to us.  No one comes close to us!  People LOVE us!”

“I think you’ve made that abundantly clear, Ms. Jones,” the lawyer is getting a little frustrated and it is showing “can we get to the point?”

“Impatient aren’t we?” Jones folds her arms over her chest. “How rude!”

“Apologize to my client.” Samantha demands.

“Apologize?” Sam and Marie both nod.  “Will she finally tell me what her problem is?”

“Probably.”

“Fine…” he sighs with disgust “…I’m sorry, Ms. Jones.  Please, continue.”

“Thank you, sweetheart!” She beams with joy. “Now then where was I before you so rudely interrupted me?”

“You were about to get to the important part.” He mumbles.

“Oh yes, that’s right!  My psychotic twin Kimberly Williams returned having faked her own death…”

“Ok, ok, wait a minute, back up!” Garfield is taken aback by that sudden admission. “She faked her own death?!”

“Yes, isn’t that just absolutely dumb?  First of all, it’s been done to death…pardon the pun…and second of all, if she were to do it, she should have at least asked my favorite of all my step-fathers Andreas Lasiewicz because when he faked his death he made it look cool.”

“Um…right…”

“Anyway, she returned and kidnapped me and, since she is my twin, she tried to take my place.  Now I was saved, thanks to my awesome will to live and fight back against all the odds…oh and my sister Jessica was involved someway too, but that doesn’t really matter…point is I had been kidnapped and that is why I am suing Abigail Lindsey.”

He went from frustrated to confused; this poor lawyer is rubbing his temple, almost as if he is trying to soothe a headache.

“I am completely and utterly confused, Ms. Jones…if Kimberly Williams kidnapped you, why are you suing Abigail Lindsey?”

“BECAUSE, you angry fat man, little psycho Kimberly TOLD Abigail about her evil scheme and she TOLD Abigail exactly where she was holding me captive!”

The lawyer finally sits up after hearing this bit of information.  What seemed like an impossibly ridiculous story now seems like a plausible case if these facts are indeed truthful.

“Is that so?”

“That’s right and I think it’s a perfectly good reason to sue Abigail.  She not only is accessory to kidnapping but she tortured my millions of fans worldwide by denying them the opportunity of seeing the real me!  Can you imagine their tears, Mr. Garfield?  Can you imagine the heartache they felt when I was missing?”

He chuckles. “I’m sorry, but if they were crying and heartbroken over you being missing, then wouldn’t that mean they would have known it was Kim and not you?”

“…SHUT UP!”

He sighs. “So where is Kimberly now?”

“Oh that’s the best part!” Marie grins from ear to ear, a grin that would have to be surgically removed. “She was found to be mentally insane and thus thrown into a mental asylum never to be released I say so, as I am now her legal guardian.”

The chubby lawyer frowns.  He gazes at Hodgson. “Is that true, Ms. Hodgson?”

“Of course it is.  Every word my client said is the truth.”

“Then we have a problem.”

“What problem?”

“I assume you want you want Kimberly to testify, correct?”

Jones nods her head immediately. “Of course!  She’s going to be the star witness.  She agreed to testify against Abigail under the promise that I would let her out.  Of course I’m lying to her and I won’t let her out.  And I know lying is usually BAD but I think lying to a psychotic monster is a GOOD thing, don’t you?”

“Like I said, we have a problem.”

“Ok, ok, so maybe lying IS bad all the time…”

Garfield shakes his head. “That is not your problem, Ms. Jones; your problem will be evidence.”

“What are you saying, counselor?” Samantha asks.

“Think about it, the legal system has already declared Kimberly Williams to be mentally insane.  Do you really believe that the very same legal system who declared her mentally insane will trust her testimony against Abigail Lindsey?”

“Well…” Marie’s voice trails off as she struggles to find the right words.

“Well what, Ms. Jones?”

“Well…um…” she looks down pleadingly at her agent “…Sam, help!”

“What my client is trying to tell you, Mr. Garfield, is that Ms. Lindsey is not the picture of mental stability either.”

“Is that so?” The lawyer asks looking over at Marie.

“Damn right!” Marie says feeling confident once again. “She’s nuttier than a fruitcake!  She is not playing with a full deck!  She’s lost her marbles!  She…”

“I get the picture.” Garfield replies. “Look, I’ll take your case…”

“YAY!” Marie applauds happily.  Samantha Hodgson smirks confidently.

“I might be able to work some magic knowing that Lindsey is a bit unstable as well, but if you want me to guarantee victory then we will need more to go on that just Kimberly’s testimony.”

“Leave that to me.” Samantha says with a smug grin.  She extends a hand to Garfield. “So we have a deal?”

“We do indeed.” He accepts the handshake.

Samantha stands up, as does Marie. “Then we shall leave you to your work, Mr. Garfield, I am sure you have other clients to work with.”

With that, after saying their final goodbyes, Samantha and Marie exit the lawyer’s office.  Once they are outside of the door Marie shoots a nervous look at her agent.

“What other evidence can we get, Sammy?  I already told you, Kim told Abi and only Abi.”

The women stop and Samantha places her hands on Marie’s shoulders. “Marie, do you trust me?”

“Of course I do.”

“Then like I said to the lawyer, leave it to me.  You have more important things to focus on.  Apocalypse is facing Andre Jordan and Gavin Taylor, correct?”

“Yeah, but that should be a walk in the park.” She grins confidently. “Andre and Gavin hate each other!  They’ve spent the past several months beating the holy hell out of each other!  They can’t possibly work together!”

“Do not underestimate them.” Samantha says chidingly. “Andre Jordan is the current Evolution Champion and Gavin Taylor is the former Evolution Champion.  They clearly know how to win, even if they may not get along real well.”

Samantha removes her hands. “You focus on the match, you focus on helping Aerik win.  You let me focus on the lawsuit.  Deal?”

“Deal.”

Good vs. Evil

==========

Samantha Hodgson, dressed in her business finest, is standing on a stage in front of a small crowd of people, most of them from Boston, all standing in anxious anticipation for what the leader of The House of Hodgson will have to say.

“Ladies and gentlemen…” she squints her eyes as she studies something in the crowd before pointing at two individuals in the front “…and you two as well, whom I shall refer to as an it because I cannot tell if you two are male or female…”

This comment prompts a laugh from some but boos from most. “I know, I know, cheer me later because this isn’t about me, this is about the very special guest I have brought here for you!  Your hometown hero herself, a real American Hero and all around GOOD person…”

She points with a long slender finger out to her side. “…MARIE ANNABELLE JONES!”

The crowd comes to life (what’d you expect, this are her hometown people) as young Marie steps up onto the stage.  She is wearing three inch strappy heeled sandals and a tight black dress that hugs her curves.  She is wearing her signature black leather jacket and her long red hair hangs unrestrained to shoulder length.  The Phoenix of IWC steps up next to her agent Samantha Hodgson, embraces her, and then turns to the crowd.

“HELLO PHOENIX FANS!” The crowd cheers politely for their hometown girl.

Marie is about to speak up again when she looks down at the two people Samantha was speaking about earlier.  She squints just as Samantha did earlier, studying them intently.

“And good afternoon to you too, sirs!”

The two people, women as it were, flip Marie the middle finger salute before turning and storming away.  Marie turns and looks at Samantha, shrugging.

“I guess they were women after all.”

“The ugliest women I have ever seen.  You should have played it safe like me and referred to them as its.”

“True, I should have, but live and learn I guess!”

Samantha turns to the crowd while pointing at Marie. “Now then, bask in the greatness of ‘The Phoenix’ Marie Annabelle Jones, YOUR HOMETOWN HERO!”

This crowd of mostly Bostonians, formerly friendly now turning a little hostile, boos the two women.  Marie smiles politely, waving regally at the crowd ignoring their boos, acting as if they truly are cheering her when they are not.  This goes on for several more seconds until Marie turns to face Hodgson.

“Ok, they have basked enough…”

Samantha nods in agreement before turning to the crowd. “Ok, you’ve overstayed your welcome.  Leave.”

You don’t have to ask them twice.  They disperse quickly, leaving Marie and Samantha alone on stage to finish the promo.

“You see how much people love and adore me?” Marie asks. “Me and The Goddess of Goodness herself Alana Starr are easily on the fast track to winning most loved IWC superstar of the year.  It’ll be one of us, I guarantee you that!

“Everyone loves Apocalypse and it was my idea to bring it back.  Everyone loves The Silverwolf and now Aerik and I are teaming up to take on two of the most vile, evil, despicable…”

She looks over at Samantha. “Any other adjectives I forgot?”

“Um…ignorant?”

“Yes!  Ignorant!  Two of the most ignorant people in IWC!  Also two of the most hated in IWC today.  Yes, I am talking about you Andre Jordan and you Gavin Taylor.  You two have done nothing to earn the love and adoration of wrestling fans the world over.  You two have been beating the holy hell out of each other for a long time now and you think the fans, MY FANS, are going to suddenly forgive you just because you’ve kissed and made up and are ready to take on Apocalypse?”

The Bostonian shakes her head. “It doesn’t work that way.  In this world, the real world, there are consequences to your actions.”

“Take Abigail for instance…”

“No, really, take her.” Samantha pipes in suddenly. “No one wants her around in IWC anyway.”

Marie chuckles. “That’s a good one, Sam!”

“Thank you, Ms. Jones…I do try…”

“Anyway, take Abigail for instance, she knew about my being kidnapped and didn’t tell a soul.  The consequence of her actions will be me suing her for every dime she has.  And those who stand in the way of Apocalypse, those who stand in the way of The Good Movement, well those consequences are pretty severe, boys.”

“Andre Jordan is a thug and a menace to society.  There is no telling what kinds of heinous acts he does on the streets to women, there’s no telling what kind of drugs he may even be caught up in.  Now is that any kind of role model for the fans?”

Samantha and Marie both shake their heads in unison. “I think not.  And you, Gavin Taylor…you, perhaps, are the worst offender of them all because you once knew the joy of being a GOOD person and yet you turned away from it so you can associate with filth like Andre Jordan?”

“It’s a sad day, indeed, when the current and former Evolution Champions are both very bad people.  That just means those very bad people must be punished, they must be taken out by The Good Movement’s lethal weapon known as Apocalypse.”

“Now you two are accomplished wrestlers, I’ll give credit where credit is due, but the question has to be asked…can you get along?”

She turns to face Samantha. “Do you think they can get along, Sammy?”

Hodgson shrugs her shoulders. “No clue, Marie.”

“Well let’s look at the facts, shall we?” She holds up one finger. “Fact number one, you two have been brawling for the past several months over that Evolution Championship.  You have damn near killed each other and done some pretty dastardly stuff to one another all because of that championship.  Do you really expect me, Aerik, and our wonderful fans to believe that it’s all just water under the bridge now?”

She holds up a second finger. “Fact number two, Aerik and I are both Apocalypse members, long time Apocalypse members.  We have been stablemates and teammates for a long damn time now.”

She holds up a third finger. “Fact number three, I am a five time world tag team champion.  I am a proven tag team expert.  I can carry my most hated rival to a tag team title if I had to, just imagine what I can do with my best friend.”

“I hope it’s beginning to sink in that you really don’t stand much of a chance.  And although Aerik and I will defeat you, although we will completely and utterly humiliate you in front of everyone, let it be known that I am a good person and I always provide a silver lining for every dark cloud.  Your dark cloud is that you are going to lose to Apocalypse but hey, the silver lining is that you two can say that you were in a match with Marie Annabelle Jones!  Your worthless pathetic little careers will mean something now that you will have shared the ring with me!”

“You’re welcome!”

New Beginnings

==========
Hodgson’s Musing

EXODUS should feel honored and privileged.  The fans of EXODUS around the world should be excited and happy while the EXODUS roster should be sweating profusely from nerves and fear, for the prediction has come true…

..Lasiewicz has returned.

Oh but not the same Lasiewicz you remember.  Not the former EXODUS World Champion but this Lasiewicz is a FUTURE EXODUS World Champion!  She is the future of your company and I should know because my name is Samantha Hodgson and I do not deal with losers.  I deal with winners and Jessica Lasiewicz, the daughter of Andreas Lasiewicz, is a winner in every sense of the word.

Young Jessica saw the wisdom in becoming a part of The House of Hodgson and so she threw her lot in with me.  She trusted me with her career and now things are looking up for her in EXODUS, a bright future that begins with yet another loss added to the already dismal record of Samantha Raine.

Nice first name, Raine, I am rather fond of it, but the difference between you and me is that I associate myself with winners because I am a winner and you, so far, have been a natural loser.  Your losing ways will continue when you meet up with my client and if you think otherwise then you are just fooling yourself.

My client is a natural mat technician and a submission specialist, trained by the absolute best this industry has to offer.  She learned from her own parents, the great Angelica Jones and Andreas Lasiewicz.  My client has winning in her blood, flowing through her veins.  Losing is in your blood.  Losing comes oh so naturally to you, Samantha.  And you will lose again to my client Jessica Lasiewicz.

The House of Hodgson has arrived, EXODUS.  Pay attention to what my client does to Samantha Raine.  It will be a foreshadowing of things to come.

==========
New Beginnings
Off Camera
==========

It has been a couple weeks since I left the Independent Wrestling Cartel for bigger things.  As much as I love many of the people there, as much as I love my sister who still is there, I have to look at what’s going on and admit to myself that maybe there is no saving it, that maybe I should just leave well enough alone, let the chips fall where they may, while I focus on my own career.  For far too long I have been worried about the future of a wrestling company I worked for rather than worrying about myself, about my own future.  It’s time I put my priorities back in their proper place and start focusing on what’s best for me as opposed to being some hero for the company.  I am no hero.  I am no saint.  I am Jessica Lasiewicz, a sadistic submission wrestler and who has been known to tap into the monstrous Morning Star when pushed over the edge.  I do not save, I do not perform rescues.  Not anymore.

I made my Frontier debut just recently against Matty Graves.  I knew going it was going to be a pushover and indeed it was.  I dropped him on his head and pinned his shoulders to the mat for an easy win.  But Frontier is but merely one horizon, I want to expand my horizons beyond just one company.  That’s what brings me to EXODUS.  My father also brings me to EXODUS.  It’s funny, father’s day has arrived and it’s the memory of my father, what he did in EXODUS, and what I can do in EXODUS myself, along with an intense desire to succeed and compete, that brings me now to this new chapter in my life.  A new beginning, if you will.  The pride, not just my Jones pride but the pride of my father, the Lasiewicz in me, will not allow me to be disrespected any further.

Yes, my father has been a big influence in my recent decisions regarding my career, and yet I still know very little about what makes him tick.  He is a mystery to many people, he is an enigma to most except to those closest to him and even those closest to him find it difficult to pinpoint why he does the things he does sometimes.  When I ask him he usually just tells me not to question it.  Or he’ll tell me that all will be revealed in time, or some other cryptic response, often followed by an ellipses.

I’m not satisfied with just accepting it.  That’s what I did in IWC.  That’s what I was told to do.  Just accept it for as it is like everyone else and do as you’re told.  I’m not the kind of person who is content with just accepting it and doing as I’m told.  I have to know things.  I have to know the truth.  Being a Lasiewicz isn’t enough for me, I have to know what that really and truly means.

It’s what made me buy a home in Poland.  It’s where my dad came from and if living there for some time is what it takes for me to get to know my culture, or just simply get to know myself, better, then so be it.

The only problem is that the home I ended up receiving was not what I expected…

“It looks so majestic…”

That’s Steven Bauer, my boyfriend.  My boyfriend and soon to be husband’s voice trails off as he takes in the surroundings of this new home.  He seems to approve and perhaps he approves because of its grand, almost medieval looking architecture on the outside and the luxurious, modern wealth on the inside.  Steven may like this, but it’s just not my style.

“I’m glad one of us likes it.”

I set my bag down and look around, impressed by what I see but at the same time I find it unusually lacking.  I am not the type of person who enjoys the extravagance that this house seems to provide.  I prefer a simplistic lifestyle.  Next I begin to walk towards the closest door, which happens to be diagonally to my left.  Reaching out and grabbing the doorknob, I turn and push it open and then step inside and gaze at these surroundings…

…a red carpeted room with a grand brick fireplace across from a plush sofa.  Over the fireplace, mounted on the wall, is a flat screen television.  On either side of the fireplace are two large plants which add to the overall beauty of this room.  Steven walks in right behind me and wraps an arm around my shoulder.

“This must be the main living area.”

“What was your first clue?”

Steven’s eyes follow me as I walk away from him and over to the sofa where I flop myself down.  My elbows are propped up on my legs and my hands hold up my head as I stare emptily straight ahead t the fireplace.  The sarcasm from my response must have gotten to him as he walks over and sits down next to me on the sofa.  His arm returns to its former spot around my shoulders.

“Is something wrong, babe?”

“I’m sorry, Steven, it’s just that I…oh I don’t know…”

“You were expecting something different?”

I nod my head. “Yeah.”

“You can’t complain about much.”

He looks around, at the fireplace, at the television, at everything, all of the expensive luxury items decorating just this room, knowing that the other rooms in this home must be just as expensive as this one.

“This is a very nice house.”

“I know that, Steven, but I didn’t come here because I wanted a nice house and I certainly don’t want to be treated like royalty.  I came to Poland because I want to learn more about my culture.  I want to know just who I really am.”

“Well that’s easy.” Steven chuckles lightly. “You’re the future Mrs. Steven Bauer.”

I crack a grin of my own. “That may be true, but it isn’t what I’m talking about.  Mom and dad raised me in the United States and even when they broke up I remained with my mother in Boston, Massachusetts.  I rarely visited Europe at all let alone Poland.  I want to get to know more about where I came from but this…”

I look around, motioning to my surroundings, this luxurious living area that really is fit for a modern day queen, and I shake my head with disgust.

“…this is not my culture.  If I wanted this I could just go and live with my mother.”

“Didn’t you pick this out?”

“Not exactly.” I remark, smiling sheepishly.

“Oh?  Well if you didn’t pick this place out then who did?”

“Samantha Hodgson.”

Steven nods his head knowingly.  Samantha Hodgson is my agent and she is quite the cutthroat businesswoman.  At one point in my career I had sworn I would never use managers or agents.  I had personally witnessed what they had done to my mother and I didn’t want to deal with that grief myself.  That mindset changed with my arrival in IWC.  That was when I saw what it was like trying to deal with the politics of professional wrestling all by myself.  I try not to think too highly of myself but even I realize when I am not getting my just dues.  Even I realize when I am being poorly managed by the company and booked shoddily, for no apparent reason.  That’s why I left IWC.  I still have friends there, friends like Aerik Walker.  My sister, Marie Annabelle Jones, is still there.  But the way the company mishandled me was enough to force me out and I swore I would not let that happen to me again.

That’s where Samantha Hodgson came in.  She extended her hand, an invitation to help.  She told me that she recognized talent when she saw it and she recognized the potential I had as a second generation superstar, the daughter of two legends in this industry.  Hodgson swore she would not allow any company to mismanage me or disrespect me the way I felt I had been disrespected in IWC.  All I had to do was trust her judgment.

What Samantha needed to realize, though, is that I didn’t need coddling.  I prefer earning things on my own and, usually, making my own decisions.  That’s what brought me to EXODUS.  I made the call to go to EXODUS against Samantha’s better judgment.  She thinks EXODUS is a poor choice and poor company.  I think EXODUS is a great company.  I mean, my father competed in EXODUS.  My father was once their world champion.  And I definitely trust his judgment over Sam’s.  But I guess we’ll see who is correct later on.

My first match in EXODUS will be against none other than an old sparring partner of my GDW days; Samantha Raine.  I can’t help but wonder if Hodgson had her fingers involved in the booking of that match.  It just seems too perfectly played out, too ideal of a setup for my EXODUS debut.  This debut isn’t going to be one where I have to do extensive research on a wrestler whom I have never had any encounters with because I am some EXODUS newbie.  This debut is against Samantha Raine, a woman I have had dealings with before in GDW.

This is also a woman who is a multi-time world champion and a GDW Hall of Famer.  Granted, I am no slouch when it comes to in-ring action.  I am a former GCW World Champion.  But even I have to admit, when it comes to measuring career achievements and accolades, Sam Raine’s far outweighs mine.

There was a time I would think that a house like this would be better suited for Samantha Raine.  But after getting to know her a little better in GDW, I realize that is far from being the case.

“Hodgson picked this out, then?”

“Yeah, I told her I wanted to buy one myself but she insisted on letting her management firm buy one for me.”

Steven shrugs. “Sounds like a smart move to me.  If she’s going to buy you a house, let her.”

“Yes but I wanted to have a say in the matter.  Samantha insisted on it being a surprise.”  I roll my eyes. “Needless to say, I was surprised.”

“It won’t be that bad.” Steven puts on the warmest, friendliest smile I’ve seen from him. “You will learn to love it.”

“Maybe…”

He leans over and kisses me on the lips.  “No, not maybe…I know you will learn to love it.”

“And what makes you so smart?”

“Because you have me here with you.”

He’s right, having him here is a good thing.  Otherwise I might go crazy.  Steven Bauer has been so patient with me and I am thankful for that.  He asked me to marry him back in April of 2014.  I did say yes, but we have made some but very little progress towards the actual wedding itself.  He loves me so much he wants to rush to it but I’m in no hurry.  In fact, I’m kind of hesitant.  I do not want to end up like my parents.

My mother’s first relationship was with a boy she met in school named Sean Williams, then she ended up marrying the man who trained her to be a wrestler, after that marriage broke up she married my dad, Andreas Lasiewicz, and when they split up she married Sean McBride, and when he dumped her she turned homosexual and had a relationship with Brittany Lohan and finally marrying Lindsey Carter this most recent time.

Everyone talks about my mother and her famously failed relationships but my dad is no better.  He started out with Jessica Corey, ended up marrying my mother, but when they split up he would eventually end up with my Aunt Kayla, and when that split up he finally ended up with Sarah Hartley.

Call me old fashioned, but I want my first marriage to be my only one.  I don’t want to follow in the footsteps of my father and mother.  I want to make certain Steven is the right man before I say my wedding vows on my wedding day.

“Yeah, you have been good to me in so many ways, babe.” I kiss him on the lips much in the same way he kissed me earlier, only more passionately. “What would I do without you?”

“You’d probably lose your marbles.”

I chuckle half-heartedly. “Depending on who you ask, I already have lost my marbles.”

“Well if you’re asking me, you’re nutty as a fruitcake.” He kisses me on the forehead. “But I love you anyway.”

“Thanks, Steven…I think.”

“And together, you and I are going to enjoy this new adventure, right?”

“Maybe…” my voice trails off “…and I’m sorry for dragging you to Poland with me.”

He shakes his head. “No, do not apologize, babe.”

“But you don’t want to be here.  You made it clear to me that you didn’t.”

“I want to be wherever you are and if you’re in Poland that’s where I’m going to be.”  He runs a hand through my long dark hair. “If you need to find yourself here, then I’m going to help you.  I will be with you every step of the way.”

Jessica’s Promo

==========

You know my father but I’m not new to this industry.  Hell, I grew up in it.  While he was competing here in EXODUS, winning championships, I was in GDW during its final days.  When he was winning the EXODUS World Championship I was in GCW, defending the GCW World Championship and at the same time fighting alongside my sister Marie Annabelle Jones, another second generation star, in the Independent Wrestling Cartel.

Now I’ve made my way here.  All of the boundaries holding me back are gone.  The walls have been torn down.  I have arrived in EXODUS whether anyone likes it or not and I find it highly ironic that my debut is against Samantha Raine.

Word is that everyone is either supposed to hate you or distrust you because of your past.  Well I tend to make it a habit of not fitting into the mold, because I neither hate nor do I distrust you.  You and I both are former world champions but you are in a recognized pro-wrestling hall of fame, somewhere I hope to make it someday.  If anything, you have my utmost respect.

Yeah, that probably went over like a lead balloon with my agent Samantha Hodgson.  My agent tends to be rather prideful, Sam, but that’s just not me.  I know you, she doesn’t.  I know what you are capable of, Sam.  You may not have had any luck thus far but that could just as easily change.  I understand and respect that.  I understand that because we do have a past, a past I am well aware of.

No, you and my father didn’t necessarily see eye to eye.  He dropped you on your head about ten or eleven straight times way back when, didn’t he?  My dad tends do things like that, sometimes.  It’s part of his charm…

I’m not him.  I’m not my mother, either.  Go ahead and make the comparisons if you want but the fact is that I am not either one of them.  I am also not the same little girl you knew back in GDW.  The things I have endured since our respective times there has changed me in a big way, Samantha.   I am someone completely different.  I am a beast you have never had to deal with before.

I will be fully prepared for this, Raine.  I will be fully prepared for you but will you be prepared for what I have in store for you?  Will you be prepared for a brand new Jessica Lasiewicz that few have had the unfortunate task of having to face?

I’m not going to go out on a limb and guarantee an easy victory, but I will guarantee this much…I’m going to hurt you.
