The Monster Within

“Congratulations to me…”

Marie says half-heartedly as she raises a wine glass full to the brim of red wine up to her newly won GFC World Tag Team Championship title belt, which rests on her nightstand as she sits on the luxurious bed in her five star hotel room accommodation in Sheffield shortly after the Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER event has come to a close.  It was this night that Marie Jones and her tag team partner, fellow Silas World member Diana Tremblay, defeated Laurel Anne Hardy and Evangelista to become champions of Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER.  And winning these world tag team titles of GFC should be a confidence booster ahead of her Last Stand match with Brittany Lohan against Alana Starr and Scott Cannon for the IWC World Tag Team Championships.

Unfortunately, the prominent member of ginger nation still seems to be wary of this match, for two main reasons, the most notable of which is who she is dealing with: New Eden.  The viciousness and sadism of New Eden is well known in the Independent Wrestling Cartel.  Most wrestling groups are content with just injuring someone, New Eden would have murdered Marie and her sister Jessica a few weeks ago had they been allowed to finish the job.  Alana Starr and Scott Cannon, thus, are a dangerous combination to have to face.

But she does have Silas World backing her up.  Angelica Jones, Marie’s mother, has been there every step of the way helping her out but Angelica won’t be there at Last Stand.  Instead, in her corner, Marie will have to rely on Brittany Lohan, the rogue member of Silas World, the member of Silas World who does not want to be a part of the group or of this match.

That’s the other problem Marie is dealing with.  How do you deal with a tag team partner who does not want any part of the match?  Brittany is only doing this because Silas Mason is forcing her into it.  Silas Mason is blackmailing Brittany, through threats against Brittany’s sister Abigail Lindsey, to participate in this war against The Good Villains.  Brittany wants to help Abigail, but she doesn’t truly want to help Marie, and that does not make her a very reliable tag team partner.

This won’t be the first time Marie and Brittany have tag teamed.  Back in the Global Division of Wrestling, Marie and Brittany were the GDW World Tag Team Champions.  So when they are on the same page, they can be unbeatable.  If they are indeed on the same page, then they can defeat Alana and Scott and become IWC World Tag Team Champions.

But Marie has her doubts about the reliability of Brittany Lohan…

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

The knocking startles Marie to an alertness. “Huh?”

“It’s me.” It’s the voice of her mother, Angelica Jones. “May I come in?”

“Sure.”

The door opens and the naturally red-headed veteran o f the mat game, Silas World member, and owner of Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER, not to mention Supreme Championship Wrestling member Angelica Jones, enters the room.  Jones is wearing a little black dress that is form fitting and hugging  of her curves, and black open toed high heeled shoes.

“Have you been up here the entire time?” She asks inquisitively of her daughter as she walks over and sits down next to her on the edge of her bed. “You DO know that there is a celebration downstairs in the party room of the hotel?”

Marie nods her head. “I know.”

“It’s a celebration in YOUR honor…yours and Diana’s!” Marie informs her. “You should come down and celebrate with us!  B.Real is there, Silas is there, Diana is there, and…”

“I know, I know,” Marie sighs deeply “I know.”

“Well, what’s wrong then?” She looks at her daughter’s glass of wine. “Why get drunk by yourself when you can get drunk with friends?”

Marie chuckles. “It’s kind of complicated.”

“Complicated?” Angelica smirks. “I grew up around complicated, young lady.”

She wraps an arm around her shoulder. “So give it a try.”

The Phoenix sighs before setting her glass of wine down. “it’s just that…I’m not sure this tag team title match was such a good idea.”

“Not a good idea?” Angelica looks genuinely shocked as she reaches out and taps her daughter’s newly won GFC World Tag Team Title belt. “How can you say that after you just won this?!”

Marie laughs. “Not THAT tag team title match…”

“Oh,” a look of realization washes over her face “you mean the IWC World Tag Team Title Match.”

The Phoenix nods her head. “Yeah…”

“I think you have a good shot, personally.”

“You’re biased.” Marie retorts. “How can you possibly say that we have a legitimate chance when Brittany hates my guts?”

“She doesn’t hate your guts.”

The younger Jones tilts her head to one side and frowns. “…be serious.”

Angelica sighs “Ok, fine, she hates your guts and wants to rip your head off and stomp on it over and over again until it’s nothing but a pulping mass of goo.”

“Right…” Marie rolls her eyes.

“You wanted me to be serious.”

“Right, and I am having SERIOUS doubts about mine and Brittany’s chances of winning the titles from Starr and Cannon.”

“I do understand and yes, while I did exaggerate, Brittany is upset with you.  But I think I can help.”

“Yes?”

“You forget that Brittany and I are really close friends.” She winks. “Just let me talk to her, ok?”

“I guess that’ll help but,” Marie gets the glass of wine back and takes a sip “I just can’t but feel bad.  Guilty even…”

“Guilty?”

Marie nods her head “…yeah, I mean Britt and I used to be close.  We were world tag team champions once upon a time.  This shouldn’t be a problem at all for us to go in and take out Alana and Scott.  Now she hates me and…Jessica…”

Marie bows her head in shame.  Angelica pats her back, hoping to comfort her. “It’s ok, Marie.”

“No, no it’s not!” She insists. “I helped cause this problem!  I helped create this problem.  Jessica took a big risk by taking on The Good Movement, for me, to try and get me away from them.  Now she’s taking a risk to try and get me away from Silas World…”

Angelica frowns. “That’s her risk to take, Marie.  You are NOT your sister’s keeper.”

“But what if she is right?”

Angelica tilts her head to one side, frowning. “Right about what?”

“Right about me.” She insists. “What if she is right that I’ve been taking things too far, that I have been taking needless risks?”

“You have been taking a few needless risks.” Angelica smiles. “But you can solve that by listening more to Silas.  You have to trust him, sweetie.  He knows what he is doing.  He will help you get what you want.”

Marie sneers. “I want to be IWC World Champion.”

“Then he’ll get you there.” Angelica insists. “You may even get there by winning Last Stand, but first you have to deal with New Eden.  You have to deal with Scott Cannon and Alana Starr.”

Angelica stands up, grabbing hold of her daughter’s arm and urging her to stand up with her. “Now come on downstairs.  Let’s enjoy the party!”

“One other thing…” Marie’s voice trails off.

“What is it?” Angelica sits back down.

“How far is too far?”

“Listen to me.” Angelica places both hands on her daughter’s shoulders. “There are NO limits.  You do whatever it takes, are we clear?”

Marie nods her head. “Yes.”

“You saw what New Eden and The Good Villains are willing to do, right?  You need to be just as bad, just as ruthless as they are if you want to defeat them.  Take it from experience, take it from someone who knows.  If you show mercy, you will fail.”

“I understand.”

“Good.” Angelica smiles. “Now come downstairs…it’s time to celebrate!”

As Marie gets up and follows her mother downstairs, she  checks her phone. She got a text message from…Kimberly Frost.

Taylor Chase-Cruze, the reigning IWC World Champion has a target on her back.  It’s that time of year again, it’s time for the road to Invictus and it starts at Last Stand.  The Last Stand Rumble where the winner gets to go on to Invictus and compete for the world heavyweight championship.

As a former thirteen time world champion myself, I know what it takes to be a world champion.  Taylor Chase has what it takes, there is no doubt about that.  But I also know that there is a certain someone on this roster who should already be facing her right now and, while I may be a little biased, I think there are many who would agree that my daughter Marie Annabelle Jones deserves that opportunity.

Marie Annabelle has been scratching and clawing in IWC for a year now and has been a dominant athlete.  In recent weeks she has been courageously taking it to Taylor Chase, proving that she deserves to be in that main event spotlight.  Marie should not have to EARN her way through the Last Stand Rumble.  She has already EARNED IT if you ask me.

Yet Marie cannot get through to Taylor because our beloved champion is being protected.  She is protected by none other than the psychopathic harem bitches of New Eden.  So instead of getting what she truly deserves, instead of getting what is rightfully owed to her by fighting Taylor, she has to not only go through a bunch of talentless wastes in the Last Stand Rumble but she also has to compete against Alana Starr of New Eden and her tag team partner Scott Cannon.

It’s a shame but if The Good Villains think that they can continue to protect Taylor then they are going to realize that their plan is just going to backfire in the worst of ways.

This isn’t just some randomly thrown together tag team.  Marie Annabelle Jones and Brittany Lohan are former world tag team champions in their own right.  And as the one person who knows both of them possibly better than anyone else, I think I can say it on good authority that if they are on the same page, you both are toast.

The Jones-Lohan bond is stronger than anything else and nothing can break it.  We have survived worse and Marie and Brittany will not only make it through this, but they will make it out with the IWC World Tag Team Championships around their waists.

As my good friend B.Real would say…Beleedat!

Do you like stats?  I like stats.  So to anyone right now who may doubt me, let me lay down some fantastic stats for you guys.

3 times a world tag team champion with Faith De Luca, twice in the Global Division of Wrestling, once in the Southeastern Wrestling Conference.

Twice a world tag team champion with Brittany Lohan…once in the Global Division of Wrestling and once in Future Wrestling Alliance.

And most recently I became one half of the GFC World Tag Team Champions with Diana Tremblay, bringing gold back home to Silas World and in the process winning my sixth overall world tag team championship.  I say that not to brag, but to point out to the reigning champions that I am a tag team specialist.  I can literally tag team with anyone and carry their asses over the finish line.

Coming up at Last Stand I have the opportunity to bring more gold to Silas World and win my seventh set of world tag team championships and my partner is a woman whom I have already won tag team gold with before…

…Brittany Lohan.

Now it’s no secret that Brittany Lohan isn’t exactly in the good graces of Silas Mason right now.  It’s no secret that she and I have our differences right now.  But the facts are facts and the fact is that when the chips are down, Brittany and I will do our jobs and we will do them well.  The FACT is that when push comes to shove, Brittany and I will be the well-oiled machine that we were in the past when we were two times the world tag team champions of professional wrestling.

Did you think you were getting off easy?  Did you guys think you were facing a randomly thrown together team of people who couldn’t stand one another?  You’re wrong.  You’re dead wrong.  You’re so wrong that you’re going to lose the tag titles because of it…

Brittany Lohan and Marie Jones are NOT dysfunctional.  Hell, we’re the only FUNCTIONAL team in IWC right now when you have Alana Starr going so far off the damn deep end that she’s damn near stalking her own tag team partner.

Speaking of whom, how can you trust his sanity?  He was so far out there, so insane, that he had to be  KIDNAPPED from the last RIOT!

Kidnapped!

The both of you are so damn unbalanced that it’s a wonder you manage to remain champions this long.

I attribute that to the lack of any competent tag team competition and, unfortunately for you, that’s about to change in a big way.  You are facing real contenders, REAL challengers in the form of me and Brittany Lohan.  You are facing former two time world tag team champions, not some fresh off the street randomly thrown together clownish tag team.  You have an actual, legitimate threat.

And for me, personally, this will be oh so sweet and not just because you two idiots keep getting in my way of taking apart Taylor Chase.  You see, I haven’t forgotten how you two won those tag team titles.  Alana, you and I were supposed to be tag team partners but then on that night you decided to go rogue.  You decided to switch up.

Now I want to know who the hell died and left you in charge of match-making, because somehow by the end of the night you were jumping from partner to partner like a cheap whore until you latched onto the right man-whore willing to let you suck off his ass and share the tag team titles with you.

Yeah, the way that night went down, the way those tag team titles were decided that night, that was the biggest miscarriage of justice in the history of the sport, that was the most retarded I have ever seen, and by God, at Last Stand II, I am going to right that wrong.  I am going to get my revenge by taking the titles away from you both and maybe, to top it all off, MAYBE Brittany Lohan will get to break your damn necks.

As for Brittany…

I know you must detest me right now but it’s just as my mother always says, the bond between the Jones and Lohan families is unbreakable.  You and my mom have been through a lot.  Hell, you and I have been through a lot.  I’m confident we can work out our differences but, if not, if you’re not willing to talk to me and work it out, that’s fine.  I’m not going to force you to be my friend and ally again.  All I’m asking for is one more run…one more run as the world tag team champions.  You and me, together, we can do this.  After we win these titles, and we have the most dominant reign as champions in IWC history, if you want to disown me, then fine, disown me.  That’s your choice.

Just for now, though,  I ask for one…more…run.

There are times when you doubt yourself, when you question the wisdom or logic behind your decision making.  Oftentimes this is just due to a lack in self-confidence, in more severe cases you may even question your sobriety.  Marie Annabelle Jones knows that she isn’t drunk and for a long time she was certain that she was not crazy but now she questions even that long-standing certainty as she finds herself riding in a car driven by her psychotic twin sister Kimberly Frost…

…willingly.

That’s right, there was no kidnapping involved and, to Marie’s knowledge, no lying and deception involved.  The Phoenix has willingly chosen to ride along with Kimberly to an unknown destination.  She got a text from Kimberly telling her that she needed to show her something.  Kim insisted that it was all part of her plan to assist The Phoenix in her battle against the New Eden forces of Alana Starr and her tag team partner Scott Cannon at Last Stand.

Kimberly Frost is the same woman who tried to destroy Jessica Lasiewicz, Marie’s sister.  Kimberly is the same woman who kidnapped Marie and tried to replace her in her life.  Kimberly Frost is a psychopath, Marie knows this, and she should know better than to trust her at all, let alone get into a vehicle being driven by her.

And yet there is something else about this particular situation that changes things entirely.  Angelica Jones, Marie’s mother, told The Phoenix that she should do anything, go to any lengths to win, go to any lengths to get what she wanted.

Ultimately Marie wants to win the Last Stand Rumble and go on to become IWC World Champion.  Marie would also like to win the IWC World Tag Team Championships at Last Stand, defeating Alana Starr and Scott Cannon.  But to do all of this, Jones realizes that she will have to go through New Eden and that’s when the self-doubts arose.  Does she have what it takes on her own to hang with the sadistic women of New Eden?

Marie isn’t sure the answer is yes but Kimberly offered to teach her how.  Kimberly offered her insight into how people like the crazed lunatics of New Eden think and for Marie, this was an opportunity she could not afford to pass up.  Any insight into how they think, plot, and strategize could prove helpful and useful as she and Brittany Lohan try to wrestle the world tag team titles away from them.

The ginger has been watching her now black-headed twin with a cautious eye ever since she got into the car with her.  And still she has one burning question on her mind…

“So, where are we going?”

Kimberly doesn’t respond at first and the silence that follows is deafening.  Jones wants to know what she can expect from this morning excursion out into the world, so she isn’t going to let Kim off that easily.  Marie decides to repeat her question.

“Uh, Kimberly, did you hear me?”

“I heard you.” Kimberly finally responds back.

“Then answer my question.” Marie insists. “Where are we going?”

Kimberly chuckles lightly. “Still don’t trust me, do you?”

“What do you think?” Marie counters back. “You tried to destroy my mother, my sister, and me.  You kidnapped me and tried to replace me.  So no, I don’t exactly trust you right now.”

“And yet here you are in the same vehicle as me.” Kimberly grins from ear to ear. “Hell, I’m driving.  I could drive you off somewhere to kill you.”

Marie’s eyes grow wide with sudden terror at the prospect of what Kimberly is implying but just as quick as the terror enters her mind, it leaves when Kimberly begins to laugh nastily.

“Just kidding!  I’m not going to kill you…” Kimberly snickers “…if I were to kill you it would be in a far grander way than simply taking you off somewhere secluded and murdering you.”

Jones rolls her eyes. “That’s comforting.”

“But let this be a lesson to you.” Kimberly’s upbeat, jovial tone takes on a more serious somber mood. “I COULD kill you if I wanted to, and YOU put yourself into that situation because you were too trusting.”

Kimberly shakes her head. “You CANNOT afford to be trusting of anyone, especially not Silas World.”

“Not you too.” Jones sighs. “You sound like Jessica now.”

“The Pole is right about him.” Kimberly says in an angst-filled voice. “Silas Mason and his harem of bitches care nothing for you.  They’ll turn on you like venomous snakes if they think you are no longer serving their purpose.”

“But Silas World is a good thing to have as back-up when I face people like Alana and Scott at Last Stand, right?”

Kimberly nods her head. “Dealing with New Eden does require back-up and Silas World serves that purpose well, but nothing more.  Use them, Marie.  Don’t let them use you.”

Marie is about to answer back when she notices an all-too familiar sight up ahead.  It’s the road leading up to a green, grassy area out in the middle of nowhere.  And the house up on the hill, Marie knows it all too well.  This is the home where Marie had been held hostage.  Sweat forms across Marie’s forehead as she begins to worry, get nervous, at the prospect of what this means.  Questions swirl around in her head.  Why did Kimberly bring her back out here?  Did Kimberly lie?  Is she really going to kill her now?  Is she going to try and replace her again?

“We’re here!” Kimberly exclaims loudly, excitedly. “Home, sweet home!”

Marie is squirming in her seat. “Um…Kimberly…”

“Oh don’t go pissing your panties, Marie.” Kimberly laughs mockingly at her. “Do you really think I’m that dumb to repeat an old scheme?  Bringing you back to the same place to try the same damn thing is not just dumb but it’s boring.  If anything I’d come up with something far more spectacular for you.”

Jones sighs, shaking her head. “Again, that’s very comforting…”

This time it actually is slightly comforting for Marie, knowing that Kimberly isn’t bringing her here to kidnap her.  At least she hopes she isn’t bringing her out here for that reason.  But then again, if she’s not bringing her out here to kidnap her, then why is she bringing her out here?

“What are we doing here?”

“Wait and see.”

The car pulls up in the drive and slowly comes to a stop in front of the front door, the same door that Marie stepped through many moons ago.  Kimberly turns the car off and then gets out.  Marie is reluctant to do so but she’s already come this far and she knows she isn’t in any position to get away from Kimberly even if she was in any danger.  And something inside of Marie tells her that Kimberly may very well be sincere this time.  Thus Marie finally works up the courage to get out of the car as well.  The ginger joins Kimberly at the front door.

“I bet this brings back great memories, eh Marie?”

Marie frowns. “Cute, Kimberly.  Real freaking  cute.”

“Oh don’t go being such a sour puss!” Kimberly exclaims. “You’re gonna love this!”

Jones rolls her eyes. “Sure…I’m having loads of fun…”

With that, the black-haired psychopath turns the doorknob and then pushes the front door open.  Kimberly steps inside and Marie follows her.  Jones follows Kimberly deeper into this home until they find their way to the door that leads to the basement.

“I’m sure you remember where this place leads.”

Marie nods her head. “Yeah, I do…”

“Marie, I know what you must be thinking.  You are probably thinking that I am here to kill you or kidnap you…just like I did last time.”

“The thought did cross my mind.”

Kimberly shakes her head. “Well that’s not the case.  During my time in hiding in Mexico I spent time with this family, a very loving family.  The father worked hard at a blue collar job, the mother stayed at home raising three children.  They barely made ends meet but they didn’t care about being poor.  They didn’t have to be the wealthiest of families in Mexico in order to be happy.  They had each other and that’s all they needed.”

Kimberly places a hand on Marie’s shoulder. “We could have had that, Marie.  You and me and our father, Sean Williams.”

“Yes, but Sean is dead.” Marie responds. “He is dead and there is no resurrecting his family legacy.  It’s gone and dead and buried and you need to realize that.  That was your biggest mistake, the biggest mistake you’ve made since knowing you.  You just could not accept that the Williams family was done for.”

Kimberly nods her head. “You’re right…”

“I am?” Marie sounds genuinely surprised that Kimberly agrees with her.

“Our father is dead, he got himself killed when he took his grudge against your mother too far.” She chuckles. “Like father like daughter, right?  And his brother, our uncle, turned out to be a psychotic child molester.”

Marie nods, remembering that one all too well. “Yeah.  Good riddance.”

“On that we agree.  In any event, the Williams family legacy may be dead but what isn’t dead is the possibility for you and I, the daughters of Sean Williams, to have a relationship together.”

“I want that too, Kim.  I would love for us to salvage some sort of relationship but after what we have done to each other I…” Marie shakes her head “…I just don’t know.”

Kim grins. “Not trusting…that’s good.  You’re learning.”

“Is that what this is about then?” Marie asks cautiously. “You’re trying to teach me a strange, freakish lesson?”

“Yes and no…” Kimberly turns the knob of the door that leads to the basement “…now then, let’s go.  I have something to show you.”

Marie nods her head as she begins to descend the staircase down into the basement.  She hears Kimberly bringing up the rear.  The pair reach the bottom of the stairs and Kimberly stands by her sister’s side.

“I do want us to be united again, Marie.  I am sincere about that and to show you my sincerity I have offered to assist you in your war with New Eden, by offering you insight into how they think and act.”

Kimberly steps away from Marie and into a darker part of the basement where she disappears into the shadows.  Marie is beginning to get nervous again, wondering where her psychotic twin went.  It isn’t long until a light turns on and a few feet away Marie lays eyes on a barely alive woman, starving, chained to the wall.  The bruises and welts on her skin and dried up blood  does not hide her identity from Marie.

“Emma!”

“That’s right…” Kimberly says, grinning as she steps back into view “…it’s Emma, my mother.”

Kimberly turns to face Emma.  Her face contorts into one of anger. “She used me…she used me as a pawn in her own Machiavellian schemes against your family…and then when I needed her the most she betrayed me.”

The raven-haired beauty rears back and blasts Emma in the face as hard as she can. “YOU ARE A TRAITOR!”

She punches her again and even Marie winces in pain as she watches this. “YOU BETRAYED ME, MOTHER, AND THIS IS YOUR REWARD FOR BETRAYAL!”

Kimberly drives a knee into Emma’s gut and suddenly blood begins to come out of her mouth.  Kimberly, in a psychotic fashion, goes from angry rage to a joyful mood with a gleeful grin on her face, flipping the switch almost instantly as she turns back to face Marie.  It is disconcerting to say the least for The Phoenix as she watches on.

“You do remember what Emma has done to you…”

Marie nods her head. “She used to work together with my mother.  She and my mom were tag team partners once.  They went to school together.”

“And she grew to hate your mother and wanted to destroy her every bit as much as I did.  But that’s not all.”

Kimberly walks over and places her arm around Marie’s shoulder, leans in, and whispers into her ear.

“She used you to get to her.  Don’t you remember how she assisted me in kidnapping you?  How she assisted me in replacing you?”

Kimberly steps away for a moment, allowing this all to sink in. “Emma Frost LURED you out here, Marie, and it was Emma  who later broke you out, not with the desire of freeing you and returning  you to your former life but to put you in a convent, hoping you would never regain your memories and NEVER EVER see your family.”

Kimberly points an accusatory finger at Emma. “SHE DID IT!”

Jones turns and glares at Kim. “But YOU were the mastermind…”

“Of course I was.  I did come up with the whole plan.  I have tried to make up for what I did but perhaps I do need to be punished for my actions.”

Kimberly steps towards Emma. “Here is your chance.  Take out your revenge on one or BOTH of us, sister.  We’re both helpless and at your mercy.”

This is not what Marie was expecting when she was brought down here to this basement.  She was expecting another Kimberly trap, she was expecting to get assaulted.  But here she finds herself in a rather enviable situation, she finds herself getting a rare opportunity to do get the revenge she has sought after for quite some time; revenge for the kidnapping, revenge for taking her life away from her.  Yet now that she has this opportunity placed before her she finds herself unsure of what she wants to do.

“Do NOT hesitate, Marie!” Kimberly encourages her. “Do NOT back away from the chosen path!  Do NOT shy away from what needs to be done!”

“I don’t…” Marie shakes her head “…I don’t know…”

“Yes, you do!” Kimberly encourages all the more. “You know damn well what you want!  You need to cease the second guessing and take what you want, take it without any hesitation!”

Marie looks at Kim and then at Emma and then back at Kim. “I know what I want…”

“Then take it!”

The Phoenix pulls up her pants leg, revealing the titanium knee brace, the one that belongs to Taylor Chase but Silas Mason took from her and gave to Marie.  The one Marie has used before on IWC television.  Jones then charges forward and drives the knee…

…into Emma’s forehead.

“Excellent!” Kimberly applauds gleefully. “Excellent, Marie!  Good job!”

Marie throws right hand after right hand, all connecting to the forehead of an already unconscious Emma.  The chained up, battered woman is already bleeding profusely now which only gets worse as the pummeling continues.  Jones then repeatedly begins driving the knee into her gut, over and over again.

“DIE! DIE! DI…” Marie finally stops, realizing what she has just done, seeing the bleeding and unconscious Emma looking half-dead.

“Good job!” Kimberly applauds. “Good job, Marie!”

Kimberly wraps her arm around Marie’s shoulder. “And THAT is how you have to deal with people like New Eden.  Show no mercy, no remorse, and do whatever you want to achieve the end game, and do NOT stop until it is all over.”

Marie gazes down uncomfortably at Emma. “Is she…?”

“Oh she’ll be fine…” Kim shrugs “…maybe?  But that’s not the point.  The point is that you are making progress. You are evolving into what you need to be if you want to win the tag titles and win the Last Stand Rumble.”

“And what’s that?”

“….a monster.”

"You know, I could get used to this! It's been a while since I've stood in front of a camera and cut a promo, almost a year since I stood in front of mine and told the world about what Kathryn Pearson and Dawn Lohan were getting upto behind closed doors... and you'll notice that NEITHER of those two are ginger, just saying. But I'm not here to talk about prissy exes or dirty hoe's I'm here to talk about someone so great she could run for the presidency and show Hilary Clinton how you actually WIN if she wasn't part of the wrestling business: Marie Jones!

Now let's get serious for a minute, shall we? Can anyone say that the IWC has seen ANYONE so talented in the ring since Marie first stepped through the door? We're talking about a MULTI-time champion here, someone who knows EXACTLY what it takes to get it done inside of a ring and someone who knows EXACTLY what it means to be a great champion! How many times over the course of her career has the brilliant beautiful Marie held gold, huh? I'll tell you EXACTLY how many times sweetie, it's more times than Kathryn Pearson has fucked different men and believe that's a HIGH number right there!

But let's focus on the tag team champions, because that's what she's going to be adding to her resume ONCE AGAIN when she and my good friend - ha! - Brittany Lohan walk out of Last Stand II as the NEW Independent Wrestling Cartel World Tag Team champions! Oh, don't get me wrong, the match will be a masterpiece to watch, a fantastic match for all of you ignorant jerk-butts at home to behold, but I don't care how few matches Alana Starr has lost and how cute Scott Cannon may be, at the end of the day, it's my girl and her partner who are going to walk out as champs and you can bank that one because #GingersNeverLie!

You want my advice? Put good money on Marie and Britt walking out as champs with Marie being the one to score the pinfall... because at Last Stand II we get new tag champs and when it happens, the #GingerNation gains another glittering piece of gold... and damn, that belt is going to make Marie look all the sexier if you ask me. And everyone knows I have exquisite taste!

Gingers: love us or hate us, it's still an obsession!"

“Okay, so like, you don’t know me. But you should! You really should know who I am because I’m not just another one of those bimbo Barbie-doll types who likes to get on TV to hear themselves talk! You should know who I am because without me, the #GingerNation would only be a fraction of as awesome as it is now. That’s not to say it wouldn’t be awesome. Let’s face it… with an assortment of us around in any venue, you’re going to see things that would BLOW YOUR FER-EAKIN’ MIND! But, any time another one of us is added to the sum of the whole, the whole becomes a WHOLE LOT BETTER!

Like Marie Jones, card-carrying founding member of the #GingerNation! Marie is more than a friend to me… she’s more than a sister-in-arms. She’s like a part of me. So while sisters can always get catty and bitch at each other over things like nails and extensions and weaves (like seriously… who needs a weave?), us in #GingerNation would be what you sci-fi NERDS call a “hive-mind”. We are a part of each other. When one of us succeeds, all of us succeed. When I defend the Gingernational Championship, we all benefit from that success! And when one of us hurts…

Well, no one’s been able to REALLY hurt us yet. Sure, people can have their little victories over us, but in the end we’re better because we’re US! So when I tell you that Marie, already one half of the GFC Tag Team Champions Ginger Heaven, is MORE than capable of avenging what happened to her when she was so carelessly cast aside in favour of Scott Cannon by Alana Starr… when I tell you that she can team with anyone in the world, even a blonde behemoth of a woman like Brittany Lohan, and still walk away victorious and FABULOUS, you can believe it! Because I would NEVER lie to you!

Marie is good enough to bring home the bacon AND the IWC Tag Team Championships! And when she does, you can rest assured that we’ll be going out that night to paint the town GINGER!!

Luv ya mean it!”

I said it once already and I’ll say it again, I may be biased but I don’t think Marie Annabelle Jones should even have to bother competing in this Last Stand Rumble.  I mean hell, she already proved herself hasn’t she?  Were it not for a swarm of outside interference she would have already beaten Taylor for the title inside the steel cage.  My daughter already took one thing that belongs to her…

…her precious titanium knee brace.

Now she is primed and ready to take the other thing that Tay-Tay holds near and dear to her heart; the IWC World Championship.  But unfortunately she can’t do that.  Unfortunately forces beyond the control of Silas World is protecting Taylor from my daughter because they know…they KNOW…that if given a fair title shot, Marie Annabelle Jones will win and she will become IWC World Champion.

So let’s stack the deck against The Phoenix.  Let’s make her wrestle in a tag team championship match earlier in the night and THEN having to wrestle in the Last Stand Rumble in order to earn the world title match.

People like Julia Noel, Vanilla Skyy, and others only have the Last Stand Rumble to concern themselves with whereas Marie Annabelle Jones, the crowned jewel of Silas World in IWC, has to compete twice.

Yes, that’s definitely fair.

The blatant favoritism is obvious but that’s fine.  We Jones women are used to overcoming the odds and we will overcome these odds because I guarantee you this…either myself or my daughter one will win this Last Stand Rumble.  One of us will win it and one of us will main event Invictus.  One of us will stand high and proud as the world heavyweight champion of IWC.

And there’s not a damn thing any of you can do about it.

I love my adoring public oh so much that I am going to give you fine #GingerFans not just one but TWO…that’s right, a DOUBLE DOSE of #GingerGoodness when you get to bear witness to moi compete twice in one night!

I’m not going to settle for JUST a world tag team championship win with Brittany.  That would be great, but I’m not simply great.  I am LEGENDARY and this legendary ginger goddess is going to enter herself into the Last Stand Rumble, because quite frankly, there is something Tay-Tay has that I want.

The IWC World Championship.

I have fought, I have clawed, I have sweat, and I have paid the price for this chance, for this moment, and now all that lies between me and a chance to kick Tay-Tay’s ass…again…and this time take her championship is the Last Stand Rumble.

It may not be a cakewalk, and I’m not going to stand here and pretend it is, but I will tell you that I have every tool necessary, every available weapon necessary, in order to do more than just survive the other participants, but to win it all.

Endurance?  I got that.  Will to win?  Got that.  Talent beyond anyone’s imagination?  You better believe I have it!

Slay Revolution may think they have the numbers game backing them up but they don’t realize who they are dealing with.  I’m not Sammy Raine’s clan of crazies and I’m not Jessica.  I am the biggest threat in this Rumble because I am THE crown jewel  of IWC.  I am the FUTURE of IWC.  IWC’s future lies with me, not with Vicky or Tina and no, not even Mary-Allison.  As for Prii, Prii will be too busy yawning over twitter to read this anyway…

If anyone from New Eden dares cross my path, Aiken or any of his psycho harem, they will learn that I can be every bit as much of a monster as they are.  I have a vicious streak in me that few have witnessed and if necessary I will bring it out.  If necessary that monster will be unleashed because no one will stand in my way.  No one.

I could go on and on, listing other unworthy clowns who have entered the Rumble.  Bitches with delusions of grandeur like Julia Noel and Katelyn Buehler.  Lovesick puppies whose balls dropped off like William Mason.  None of them belong in the same ring with me and all of them will fall before me.

I will be the last one standing.

There are many monsters within the Independent Wrestling Cartel.  Most of them reside within the faction called New Eden.  Some would even call Silas Mason a monster, but that wouldn’t be the opinion of Marie Annabelle Jones.  Silas World’s favorite ginger and co-founder of #GingerNation is quite pleased with the guidance of Silas Mason and she believes he will lead her to the IWC World Championship if she just stays the course, and that course runs right through the Last Stand Rumble.

In the weeks leading up to Last Stand, Marie Annabelle Jones had her eyes lit up with gold, championship gold, specifically the gold held by Taylor Chase; the world heavyweight championship.  Samantha Hodgson had long promised Marie a world championship but never came through with her promise.  Now Silas Mason has already gotten The Phoenix into championship contention.  Jones even took  Taylor to her limit in a steel cage and, were it not for outside interference, perhaps could be world champion as we speak.

Jones knows that she is capable of defeating Taylor.  Jones knows that she is on the precipice of greatness.  But she has to get one more shot at Taylor and to do that she will have to win the Last Stand Rumble.  Winning the Last Stand Rumble is the only way she can get another shot at Taylor.

Winning the Last Stand Rumble is very important to Marie.  She wants to win it by any means necessary.  But Jones finds herself asking the question; how far is she willing to go.  How far is she willing to go in order to win the Rumble and get her title shot?

Kimberly Frost, formerly Kimberly Williams, has already told her what she needed to do in order to win, not just the world tag team championships from Alana Starr and Scott Cannon but also to win the Last Stand Rumble, and to do them both in the same damn night.  Kimberly Frost claims she has the recipe for success, a recipe that will make Last Stand the greatest night in The Phoenix’s career.

Frost claims that Jones needs to become a monster.

Marie is hesitant about Kim’s suggestion.  She does have it within her to be a monster.  Her mother, Angelica Jones, is one of the most sadistic women in wrestling and that violent streak was passed down to her daughter.  Becoming a monster and adding that note of violence to her repertoire would definitely help her out in the Rumble, a match where it truly is every man and woman for themselves, but the real question is…

…does Marie want to bring out the monster within?

“You were great, sis!”

The raven haired Kimberly Frost raises up her glass in a makeshift toast to Marie Jones who sits next to her at a bar in a rundown dive off the beaten path, a place Kimberly has been frequenting in her life on the run.

Hearing Kim refer to her as sister is still strange.  Marie knows in her mind that they are half-sisters but, still, she can’t help but remember about the many times Kim has tried to destroy the Jones family and Marie in particular.  It is difficult for her to accept that Kim truly does want to reunite the pair, that she truly does want to make things right.  But all signs seem to point to this almost unbelievable fact.

Yet here they are, seemingly having a good time.  The thing is, Marie knows in the back of her mind that they just returned from the house, the one out in the middle of nowhere that is currently the holding cell for Emma, Kim’s estranged mother.  Together these two siblings joined in on a beat down on a defenseless Emma.  Jones didn’t even realize she had it in her.  Perhaps this is the monster Kim wants to bring out, the monster that can win Last Stand?

“Great?”  Marie muses quietly. “Great at what, exactly?”

“Now, now, sis.” Kim chides playfully. “Don’t start wimping out on me now.”

“Huh?”

“You know what I mean.” Kim winks. “You made me proud back there with what you did to Emma.”

Marie frowns. “You mean what I did to your mother?”

“My mother…Emma…whatever!” She shrugs her shoulders and then tosses her back, quickly downing the glass of alcoholic beverage that had been sitting in front of her. “Not like I care about the bitch anyway!”

“Kim!” Marie exclaims, hardly believing what she just heard. “No matter what you and Emma had been through lately, she is STILL your mother!”

Kim tilts her head to one side, frowning. “You don’t get it, do you?”

“Get what?”

Kim sighs and waves down the bartender who quickly comes over. “Get my friend here some Scotch.  On the rocks.”

The bartender nods and walks off.  Kim turns back to face Marie, still frowning. “Haven’t you ever wondered how it is that I was able to do the things I did to your family?”

“What do you mean?” Marie asks inquisitively.

“I tried to kill your sister Jessica.  I even threatened to kill your baby sister Kelly.  I kidnapped you and replaced you.  I was going to leave you for dead.  There is one singular ability that I possess, the same ability that Alana Starr and Mika Kozlov of New Eden possess.  Do you know what ability is, dear sister?”

Marie shakes her head. “No…”

“It’s the ability to dehumanize your enemy.  How do you think the Nazis in World War II were able to sleep at night knowing they were butchering innocent men, women, and children?  How do you think we were able to justify nuking two Japanese cities full of innocent civilians?”

Kim grins sadistically. “We didn’t view those poor innocent Japanese civilians as human beings.  We dehumanized them, much in the same way the Germans dehumanized...well…everyone!”

The bartender returns to Marie and Kim, placing the scotch in front of Marie who just stares at the glass blankly for a moment.

“If you want to win the Last Stand Rumble, you have to dehumanize everyone else.” Kim states firmly and steadfastly. “This match is every man and woman for themselves.  At the end of the day there are no allies and no friends.  Not even within Silas World.”

Kimberly takes Marie’s hands and holds them tightly.  “I want to see you win, Marie.  I really do.  And that’s part of what tonight was all about.  I needed to show you what you had to unleash if you want to win the Last Stand Rumble.”

Marie shakes her head vehemently. “You’re suggesting that if I want to win, that if I want to go to Invictus, I have to do that kind of sick and twisted shit to everyone else in the rumble?!”

“Not what you did to Emma specifically, no, but the principle behind it, the violence behind it, the ruthless aggression that went behind every swing…” Kim nods her head, grinning sadistically from ear to ear “…yes, that’s what I want to see.”

Marie sighs. “I…just don’t know.”

The Phoenix takes a swig of her scotch. “It does run in my family.  I can bring it out if need be.  I just don’t know if I want to go that far, you know what I mean?”

“I understand.” Kim nods her head. “It is a big step.”

“A VERY big step.” Marie chimes in.

“But Marie…you’d better figure it out fast.  Last Stand is approaching.”

“I know.”

“And I know you have it in you.” Kim remarks. “But you’ll have to bring it out again if you want to walk away with the tag titles and, more importantly, win the rumble.”

We open in an empty arena, barely light with a spotlight shining down upon a wrestling ring.   The camera is close up to the upper back on up to the back of the head of a red-headed female figure standing inside the ring.  The female’s long red-hair hangs unrestrained to shoulder length.  She turns around suddenly to reveal herself to be none other than “The Phoenix” Marie Annabelle Jones.

“Hello my Ginger Fans!”  She motions to the wrestling ring around her. “And welcome to MY WORLD!”

Jones nods her head. “That’s right, my world.  This ring and everything in it?  Mine, mine, ALL MINE!  It’s all mine because I’m that damn good and I prove it each and every single time I step into this ring.  When you look into these eyes…”

She motions to her eyes “…you can know, you can realize at that point, that you have no hope.  You can realize that you may as well just hope that I let you survive because winning for my opponents is never an option.”

“This time last year I tried playing by the rules, I tried doing what everyone said was right.  I kept getting walked all over by the likes of Ba’al and Sinistry and Lukas Knight.  I was even kidnapped and no one seemed to care.”

She shakes her head. “No more.  It took me a long time to realize that in order to get what I wanted I needed to forego the rules and just take what I wanted by force, by any means necessary.”

She grins knowingly.  “Silas Mason and my mother, Angelica Jones, taught me that.”

“So in this year’s Last Stand Rumble, I’m going to be doing things differently…a lot differently.  First of all, I have already kicked Taylor Chase’s flat ass all over this nation.  I kicked her flat ass inside of a steel cage.  I have already proven that, by all rights, I should be IWC World Champion.”

Jones sighs with disappointment. “But I get bypassed…and for whom, exactly?  Mika Kozlov?  What the hell did that crazy Russian do to earn a title shot?  And I don’t care about anything she did last year, I want to know about recently.  What has she done RECENTLY that proves to the world she belongs in MY MAIN EVENT SPOT?!”

“Mika gets handed a title shot and what do I get?  I get a tag team title match…a match I have to wrestle in BEFORE entering the Last Stand Rumble.  I have to compete against two mentally unbalanced lunatics before climbing into the ring for the Last Stand Rumble with a hope that I will win it all and get what I should already have right now, and that is a world title shot.”

“But that’s fine…you know why?  It’s fine because I get the chance to shut up each and every one of the doubters.  I get the chance to silence each and every one of the critics, the critics that point to Silas World as my advantage, the critics who say that I haven’t earned anything in IWC.”

She growls. “That’s bullshit and they know it, and they won’t be able to deny it once I go through the entire roster of IWC and win the Last Stand Rumble.”

“Katelyn Buehler, the whore who keeps sticking her nose in Silas World business, will have her skull caved in by yours truly if she gets in my way.  Serenity, I promised nothing more between us, but if it comes down to you and I in the Rumble…”

She snickers “…I guess we can renew our rivalry?”

“And any of the New Eden bitches, namely Alana Starr who I’ll have to face earlier in the night, if they choose to get in my way…they’ll be given a quick reminder of what happens when you try me.  Just ask our beloved Tay-Tay.”

The camera pans out ever so slightly, just enough to get a full shot of Jones.  We see that she is wearing a tight little black dress that hugs all of her curves and the hemline of said dress stops at thigh level.  What is an oddity about this attire, though, is that she is wearing the titanium knee brace.

“I know, I know, it isn’t exactly the most fashionable of things to wear with a nice dress like this, but it is very effective against sadistic New Eden sluts.  It works wonders against whores like Katelyn Buehler who refuse to step away and leave well enough alone.  And it will get me through anyone else who tries to stop me, be it Vanilla Skyy, Julia Noel, or William Mason and his Prestige cronies, because I refuse to be stopped.  I will win Last Stand Rumble and mark my name indelibly in the IWC history books.”

She points a finger at the camera. “Then I’m coming for you, Taylor.  And I will be cheering you on against Mika Kozlov.  I want you to defeat her at Last Stand II because when I win the Rumble, I want to defeat YOU for the title.  I want there to be left no doubts in anyone’s mind that I am better than you in every way.”

“Because you’re not a hero, Taylor, and you’re not a leader.” Marie shakes her head. “You are a fraud, plain and simple, and this sport deserves better than you.  I am going to prove to the world that I am the leader of this new generation by dominating the Last Stand Rumble and then by going on to humiliate YOU at Invictus.”

She winks at the camera. “And THAT is a Ginger Truth!”
